Well, seeing as how Sept. 15th is coming up soon, I have a request for fellow MOTUC collecting Arkers: Wanna get everyone's opinion on Leech including whether or not you're buying him.
You see, I'm frustratingly divided about whether to purchase him or not. I've seen numerous photos and reviews, but just can't seem to find a deciding factor. I've seen the "200X" 4H Staction version of him and I find that much cooler. I don't have any nostalgia for the character either (I'm not that old - no offense), and neither do I own any Horde members at the moment (except maybe for Megator who's probably not a Horde guy anyway). I guess the thing that's putting me off is the large "goofy-looking" head and the odd choice to leave the hand & feet cups (which don't even function) as plain and boring as they are. The Staction at least had something appropriate (tongues). On the other hand, I'd probably like him 'cause he'd look like a really fun fig. to play with. So again, any and all opinions would be appreciated! 4H NECA 6" Mini-statues Wave 4 - Leech & MOTUC Leech pics below just for reference URLs for crediting http://drh2.img.digitalriver.com/DRH...izeimage05.jpg http://www.he-man.org/assets/images/...ech03_full.jpg |

if u dont have any ties or love for the classic leech, i would say grab the 200x version. it does look better but its going to take a hit in the articulation department

Just wanted to see what people think of the Classics figure and base my purchase on their opinions. Don't get me wrong, I want him in a way - I just need something to make me want him. If that makes any sense at all.... |

I have a sub so I'm getting Leech eather way. I have yet to see a pic of him that looks good. I loved the original fig as a kid. I will probably leave him MOC for a while. The straction looks way better giving him more monstor like porportions. We will see when it arrives late this week/ early next. People will want him to complete there horde but I feel that manny non subers will pass on him.

I'm going to be picking him up. I did have him as a kid and I am currently getting all the Horde characters from the classics line. The 200X Staction doesn't do anything for me. I liked the series, but a lot of the designs, especially on the figures, are a little too manga-inspired for my tastes.
That being said, I absolutely hate that fact that they left those stupid looking suction cup hands. I know that was a big part of the original figure, but that was just a gimmick. Look what the 4H did with Leech's head and mouth. Came out awesome. They should have treated the hands in a similar fashion and re-designed them more. Maybe just webbed fingers. I don't know, anything but suction cups that don't really work. Odd decision to me. I do like the girth of the figure. I think he looks cool and he's an important part of the Horde. Also, his articulation is supposed to be a little better than the standard classics figure, especially in the wrists. |

I'll be picking him up. I'm ok with the cups for some reason, but it would've been cool if they were accessories instead of standard hands/feet. This line is such a mix of old school/new school that for some reason things like this just don't bother me.

This is one of the first MOTUC classics figures that is disappointing to me. Especially given how cool the 200x version was. But with tooling limitations, I understand how this figure would be hard to do. You can't offset costs by repacking this b-lister villain in a 2-pack like you could with another figure that would require a lot of new tooling like Ram Man.

I can't wait to get him, I hope I can get my order in okay. I loved Leech as a kid, he was one of my favourites and I love the new figure's look so far

Y'know what? I think I'll just cave in and pick him up. Thanks to all the above for lending their respective opinions on him. And a special nod to ludo & Vader for adding some input which helped make my decision.
And oddly enough, this pic I found off of MTV kinda settled it for me. He looks pretty cool in it in my opinion. But of course I won't be doing what's being done in the pic, but don't see anything wrong with it either I've been sitting on a Panthor ($49.95) and King Hsss ($29.95) from Amazon for quite some time now and it's killing me, they're my most wanted Classics figs aside from Tri-Klops. Was planning on finally picking up Panthor this paycheck but then Leech came and piqued my interest. I'm limiting myself (or trying to anyway) to one single MOTUC figure once per paycheck. So basically, I'm choosing Leech over Panthor 'cause Panthor's pretty much guaranteed to be there seeing as how he's about 36+ (correction: 23 ) in combined quantity from sellers on Amazon for the above price. The only thing I'm worried about is the price - hopefully it doesn't go past $50 anytime soon.... Last edited by KshatriyaNZ666; 10-07-2011 at 05:32 PM.. |

You must not have BOW. He has the best wrist articulation so he can acutally draw his bow. All of the masters should have this wrist articulation.

Got Leech and Hordak in the mail yesterday. Leech sucks! his face looks like a vag. The net he comes with was torn by the plastic bands holding it to the package. His hands and feet are rediculous. Couldn't they have given us more detail? I like Hordak but the Gold vac plate look/feels cheep and I already heard that the red paint flakes off. There are verry few details actually painted on this fig. Extremely dissapointing Matty month. More loose pics when I get home.

I loved that movie. Under rated in my opinion. Netflix has had it on instant view for a while.

I took some pics of him and Hordak. As soon as I get home in a couple of hours I will post them here. I can't say that I will write a review for Leech because I already have negative feelings toward the fig but I will share my thoughts on him.

Here's a few pics. I ended up swapping out Hordak's head for a custom one I had. Leech's hands are useless and the packaging bands destroyed the netting in the package.

That's the first thing my friend said about Leech. He needs new hands. These last couple months (Sept & OCT) are duds. Who wants Icarus when they have yet to make NA He-Man or any other NA characters? The Windraider is a space hog & I don't care for the changes they made to the horse head anchor. November is stacked with Snout Spout & BG Evil-Lyn. Swift Wind & She-Ra do not seem to be Sub figures. I don't see the club sticker next to there pic on my checklist.
