Narrowing down my collection, cant really decide to dump my Masterpiece TFs or my Classics.

Toughie. Depends on the purpose of the narrowing though. And whether you still intend to continue collecting. Classics would give you a greater chance to expand with new characters coming in and you'd have a nice chunk of change from the sale of the MPs. But if you wanna just lay back and look at your collection and not be in the "hunt" anymore, I suppose the MPs are far more impressive as display pieces.

If you want more than four TF's in your collection, keep your Classics.

I wonder what an auction on Ebay would go for? I have almost every Classics up to now, except the legends Cosmos and Warpath. Fansproject stuff, BTS Toys, Perfect Effect and so forth. Some are Heinke Takara bots, most are Hasbro. Only have 6 MPs left, MP Perfect Ed, Megs, Starscream, Skywarp, (Both Hasbro), Grimlock, and Hot Rod. Never got into the Repaints. The only one Im kicking myself on is Thundercracker.

The only other thing I kick myself over is buying the Henkei Thrust and Dirge Classics, then learning a couple months later that Hasbro was coming out with them. Had some store credit at BBTS left so said what the hell. Glad I waited on Thundercracker. Hopefully Hasbro releases an MP Cracker soon. Got Skywarp for 15 on clearance here.

Personally, I think there's a wider variety and cool stuff in the Classics. MPs are nice, but expensive and not entirely varied.
Or just keep both :P |

I kept the seekers and Grimlock. They fit in well with my classics. PP01 is the corner stone to mend the two. Waiting for iGear Ratchet and Ironhide!!
Here's PP01 with classics

If you want a small collection that won't take up that much space, stick with MP's. The individual pieces may be large, but there aren't nearly as many and they have a much slower release rate.
Ultimately though, it really depends on why you're downsizing.

IMO, keep the MPs. They cost more than the classics and u will make money off the classics because from what Ive seen they go up in value or stay the same. So youll make some money and if later u regret getting rid of them, they wont be as costly to replace compared to the MPs

Though I agree that MPs look better as display pieces. Yet if youre into variety keep the Classics. Also, the sale of eithe one will help you with furthering your collecting of the other. So it all boils down to why youre downsisizing. And your preferance of variety versus displayability.

Bingo, you hit the nail right on the head. I've been thinking of getting rid of my MP TF's because they take up so much room and dont fit in with my classics collection.

I could give up my MP if I had too ... but my classics make for a great TF shelf ... so many of the classic characters have been given a great homage (even if some were bot form only)

I'd say get rid of your A/E/C stuff first if you have any of that left and then re-evaluate.
Probably better getting rid of the MP stuff. They are coming out with that new and improved MP Optimus for MP10, so why bother keeping MP1, MP2, MP4, MP Sleep, MP MLP Edition, MP Thuggish Ruggish Prime, MP Arctic Blast Deep Dive Prime... |

personally I think you want to keep a combo of both. Some of the MP's are in better scale to the Classics that their Classics Versions.

Started to dump my MPs. Anyway the new MP Prime looks cool, but is he going to be all plastic like Rodimus. I got the first release, its one of those hate and love relationships with it though. MP04 the complete is my favorite MP, hell always have a home here. The rest are here
