After the wake of SDCC, I've been debating on starting a dark avengers team.
With brown suit wolvie coming, black spidey out, and a hawkeye coming. I broke down and bought the two Ms. Marvels to make a Dark Reign one. And boy am I happy with the results. =D The extra parts are either going to an X-23 custom, or a black cat one. I trimmed down the hair and am leaning on X-23 so far. The Recipe for her is pretty simple: Modern Ms. Marvel Head and legs. Classic Ms. Marvel body, arms, hands and blasts. The extra blasts go ahead and give to firestar. =D Last edited by Snowflakian; 08-02-2009 at 09:39 PM.. |

Looks great, had the same idea but around here you can't find either Ms. Marvels. Had to get mine both online so I'm waiting on finding an extra in store.

Nice job!
I'm thinking a lot of kitbashers and customizers are snatching up the Marvel ladies to custom other Marvel femme fatales.

Yeah I got lucky when I picked up the amazing friends set. So I snapped them up.
Almost wish I grabbed more. Her and Omac are starting to become my most heavily sought after kitbash items. Also, things I learned from this... Her mid torso opens easily, her upper one not so much. Her arms also aren't of the type you can just pull out. =/ Legs, waist, elbows, head, and knees are they easiest modding points on her. Her head doesn't fit on Joe bodies or wolverine(too big). The arms and legs are still compatible though. Wolverine arms too. Hands are a tiny peg as well. So be careful with indepth mods on her, as it is, I have to fix a crack on x23's neck. Logan pulls apart easy enough though with a hair dryer. And his waist fits scarlet's belt snugly. >.> So now for dark avengers that leaves. Black Suit Spidey Hawkeye - Secret wars IronPatriot - deciding still depending on IM molds coming and what not or if he comes. Extremis caught my eye in particular, or maybe a mk III for more variety. Daken - Wolverine movie brown wolvie, or secret wars? Not much success lately with movie claws, but they do look better than MU claws. But I could also use that flame for firestar or torch too. decisions decisions. marvel boy- Not really digging him at all. So skipping him. Last edited by Snowflakian; 08-02-2009 at 09:14 PM.. |
