Hi guys,
I broke down and ordered the marvel universe exclusive arch angel figure from the marvel digital comics subscription. (couldn't bare to pay the ebay prices and haven't seen any online moc the last few months) I unfortunately left it for the last minute and had it postmarked the last day of the offer (jan 31, 2012). Amazingly it did arrive and in only 3 weeks time... and i live in toronto, canada. To my surprise though it was stuffed in my mailbox as is. I mean that it was the white original arch angel box with a computer label of the company, a hand written sticker of my address and numerous usa electronic stamps on it. (thankfully the action figure inside was moc fine) I was shocked!!!! The white box was defaced, bent, damaged and marked up. I've used ebay before and even the common man like ourselves knows how to package products properly. I was shocked that an official company didn't even bother to package it in a cardboard box or even wrap the white liner box. Has this happened to anyone before when ordering from them? Is it even worth complaining about since it seems marvel out sources their distribution? I'd like to hear your comments and experiences on this. thanks, |

My nephew's box was kind of cut a bit, but he didn't care as long as the card was still in MOC.

The white box with the archangel is the shipping box as others mentioned.
I ordered one (last year?) and it also came severely damaged (aside from the normal label and stamps and what not all over it) The box was crushed as well as the packaging of the figure. I sold it it got my money+ back. I ordered another one maybe 2 weeks left into January. Got the figure a couple of weeks ago and the box is in great shape (and I assume the figure too). Still has the mailing label and stamps/electronic stamps on it but that's ok. All of my exclusives are unopened. Including Fury which is just sitting in a white box

Thats the ONE huge advantage on shopping on eBay, you at least can see what you are ordering. So if it does not show up the way you saw it in the picture, you have grounds to b____. Yes evilbay's prices tend to get out of hand.. I know all to well.. being a collector from Canada as well.. Stuff everyone else sees in retail stores do not apply to Canadian collectors.. So speciality store or online is our best bet.
I am glad that the figure was safe inside and it was only the white shipper box that was trashed. And congrats on getting it even though you ordered it on the deadline date, one of my friends ordered his in the middle of january and from what I know hasn't received anything yet. |

My x-force archangel came fine from marvel, but the compound hulk I got from ebay was wrecked inside and out. I'm still disappointed.

Yes, it said no returns accepted and after I contacted him he said no way. SO I gave him negative feedback. WHich is like one of the only the 2 times I've ever had to do that. None the less my compound hulk is not MOC, so if someone happens to have an extra, please P.M. me.

Yeah, that white box IS the shipping box. if it was that beat up, it was probably postal carrier error, not Hasbro's shipping center. Mine came and it was was mint, except an indentation where the box had been rubber banded to my mail.

if you really are angry, challenge him to a "boxing" match. ho ho ho!
But seriously, its too bad marvel(or howevor sent these) didnt realize collectors liked these boxes. Personally, I would just take the figure out. Its not like you paid 60 dollars for a figure you cant actually look at. |

I ordered two of these and the shipping boxes for both came in pretty rough shape. I had the misfortune of the one also being delivered on a rainy day and left in the way, too.
