Only an idiot would pay $250 for that figure. They can still be had for around $100 often and that is too much considering he may be in the West Coast Avengers pack for all we know. A reissue would make all those solid visions plummet in value so it's a bad investment, and at those prices it is an investment.

I've also noticed on evilbay that the prices are dropping down a bit for Professor X, Jubilee, and Blastaar.
I didn't know paperbag spidey went for so much. I wonder if those prices will drop too since they are all getting re-released. Even though this latest wave is only 3 figures, at least they are putting out the variants from wave 18 and 19 along with it. |

at my toys r us right now and they just got a truck in last night, no new MU, I am on my way to walmart now. I did talk to a collector here at TRU and he said that this isnt even the official release of the wave, most of the wal marts just got one case and thats all they are getting. So its basically a teaser, makes me feel that much more lucky that I found all of mine. I am just going to head to the same wal mart I bought mine at yesterday and i will ask someone there. I already figured that after these sightings it was going to be impossible to find them. Man that sucks.

Ok at qalmart, talked to my friend who is regional manager, he said that they are not going to get anymore MU until next year, He also said that if other qalmarts get these that they are only going to get one case and thats it. He said that the main focus for marvel toys is the movies lines coming out. SO if you have pre orders, hold onto them and expect the figures to be worth a lot on ebay. Since there is two of each of the jubs, prof x and blastaar you guys that have pre orders qill have an oppertunity to make some money on ebay. The qalmarts are basically just getting what is left over from the release that went over seas 6 months ago. Once the retail cases have been bought up, thats it. Thank hasbro for screwing this wave up. The good news is that the nova wave should be coming out right behind this prof x case.

Not sure how anyone at Wal-Mart but a corporate buyer would be able to say each store is only getting one case then no more. May be true about them preferring movie lines but those definitely leave them with tons of overstock that can't move and the next movie tie-in isn't till May. Either way other stores will be getting this wave.

I'm not saying that particular employee didn't say that about the MU Chuck wave, but he has no idea what he's saying. I've had plenty of experiences with Walmart managers and they have no clue when it comes to their toy dept's specific inventory like that.

Same here. Sometimes if you pounce early you only pay slightly inflated prices (that costs less than gas and more importantly... my time) until resellers realize what's popular and then prices skyrocket until supply catches up with demand.
I did over pay for Chuck though.

We all get lucky every here and there. The whole saving on gas thing really pertains to hunting at different stores and coming up empty handed. There is nothing more frustrating that driving to all the different retail locations to get that figure at retail cost and to find nothing new.

Yuck. I went to one of the Walmarts in the Des Moines area, and I unfortunately did not find any new MU releases. I did see a man who was so fat he had no chin, 3 dirty diapers in the parking lot, and a lot of unruly children not being supervised by their parents.
How I loathe Walmart. |
