So Wave 4 has come and I have to say that this series is easily the best we've received in the SW series.

Out of the box these are a great selection of characters to end the SW line with. Not to mention that we get a free Wasp figure which is nice.

The real shocker however to this line is that Hasbro decided to correct Thing's leg articulation.
Instead now we have a "Colossus/Thor" esque leg movement. You can see the difference between the different versions in the attached photos. This new vrsion is by far more poseable and can stand a very narrow stance unlike its predecessors |

Other things of note-
-Night Crawler's tail can rotate but not bend into shape (it is soft so it can be moved around but not held in place) - Bulldozer's arm and ankle circlets are moveable aren't sculpted -Aborsbing Man uses Luke Cage body style. Doom uses Ultron -Night Crawler's head is very easy to pop off because of the limited articulation |

On the whole these are solid figures. Paint is clear and no mistakes (Absorbing man's detail is espicially well done). The one figure I'm disapointed with is Night Crawler only because his body is completely out of proportion with the rest of the Xmen MU figures. Also his body style is more prone to damage. Like I mentioned his head pops off and mine came with a bent leg.
Bulldozer is a nicely designed figure as well makes you eager to round off the team with Wrecker. Storm is there. Female body type, been there done that but as a collector it's awesome to have her. Dr Doom maybe my favorite. I'm not a fan of Ultron's body but mine came a tad loose which is nice. His mask has a lot of detail and he just feels more solid (suffice to say then most SW figures). If anything, invest in a new Thing. His paint is a bit more orange but the new articulation is TOTALLY worth it. |

I love MU Ultron, but it's disappointing they reused his parts for Doom. Makes him look too much like Ultron wearing a coat.

The Doom figure didn't disappoint, but it had some odd features. He comes with a pistol, but no working holster, and the cape doesn't fit quite right, even with the pegs on the back. Also, the shoulders still have divots from Ultron's shoulder plates, which look horrible. If his arms are posed so the divots don't show, it leaves his arms in an awkward position.
Other than those few points, the figures look great. These are the first MU figures that my kids have been interested in since Gigantic Battles, and they still haven't given me back Storm and Nightcrawler. Storm may be the single best female figure I have seen in years. There's nothing special about the figure, but it works, it stands on its own, and it looks like the comic book. Or maybe I just like the mohawk. |

Not sold on him either way, he still looks cartoony. Quote:

Are you meaning the hips not moving or the knees, the pics seem to indicate the knees which was kind of obvious with the fact he has new legs. The Hips being fixed would be a shocker to me.
Not sold on him either way, he still looks cartoony. Just to clarify, are you saying she is the Ms. Marvel body repainted again. I will still grab her, but in the pic she kind of looks like she has Jean's body. Just trying to clarify. For the girl, i actually meant just the general flaws of both female molds. No bicep swivel, loose torso, tight legs. But I have to agree with the previous poster in saying that Storm is just a very well designed figure and she is probably my favorite female MU figure thus far. |
