I thought it might be kind of fun to show off some of my MU variants. As far as single carded figures go I believe the only ones that have been released at retail so far that I am missing are light blue Bullseye and black Ronin. When I talk about variants I really only mean figures with the same number that have an intentional paint or sculpt variant. So I don't really count glossy paint vs. non-glossy paint or accessory positioned here in the package vs. there or anything like that. Not that there is anything wrong with it if you do...just not my thing really. So anyway, enjoy! Let me know if there are others I'm not thinking of that I have missed.

I was wondering the same thing, didn't hear of a skrull variant. I've come to the conclusion that unless both original and variant are in hands when buying I will not search overly hard to get the same toy but slightly different, unless I find it adds to the figure or is better then the original, vision is a good example of that. there's like 150 or so figures in the MU line up, plus the 20 or so from WO, and the near 100 from IM2, add spidey's 5-10 notable stand outs, now add thor and cap's movie line along with the avengers .. I could buy a car with the money I'd spend trying to get every figure let alone the variants... now say I came into some $$ aka lottery then sure I'd go nuts and buy every last 1 and, army build like a mad man.

I hadn't heard of a Punisher variant. I know there are two different Punisher single carded figures that I have, but they are different numbers from different waves. And the Skrull variant is with the stand as was mentioned above.

Thank you so much, I've had the Bullseye variant this entire time and didn't realize it until I looked at your picture.I had decided it didn't exist.

Also, that's an amazing resource to post, it's going to help a lot of people finish their collections.

flame on torch and punisher are not variants or running changes, they were their own figures with their own individual numbers. The same is true for Ms. Marvel classic and Ms. Marvel modern.

So, to clarify a little bit, I thought it would be helpful to post some pictures of some of the single carded figures that some people may confuse for variants but that I, at least, don't really think of as variants. Even though the figures are very similar and in some cases are just repaints of the same mold, they have different packaging and were given a different number.

First up is Punisher. The original Punisher release was #4 and the second release used some different sculpting (especially the head) and was #20.

Next we have Hulk and Grey Hulk.

Flame On and Flame Off Human Torch. The light blue and dark blue are actually variants of each other, but you can see that the flame on one has a different number and different packaging (especially on the back).

Iron Man, Stealth Iron Man, and Silver Centurion Iron Man.

And finally, Mrs. Marvel, Mrs. Marvel Variant, and Classic Mrs. Marvel (which is the one I don't consider a variant because of the different number and packaging).

Anyway, just something that might be helpful when talking about variants.

The original #4 Punisher may be pretty cool from a collector's perspective, but the new mold #20 is a higher quality and fits better in a smart man's collection.

I completely agree. The #20 punisher is a much better figure (especially the head sculpt).

Since some people expressed interest in them I decided to put up pics of my packaging and production variants too. I'm normally not interested in these types of variants, but with MU I've become somewhat of a completist. For the production variants, it's hard to tell with my lack of photo skills, but the "glossy" version is on the right for both Red Hulk and Electro. Anyway, enjoy!

I figured I'd add a couple of pics with some of the newer variants I've picked up.

First, we have the w/Baby Hope and Hopeless versions of Cable:

Now the regular and variant versions of the Giant Sized X-Men 6 pack:
