Great review, great photos, as usual. I actually think this figure beats the '54 version, though it's close.

Oh this figure puts the 54 one to shame, if for nothing else, the tail alone.
I've been waiting to get a replacement since my has a defective hand before I take pictures.

THe GMK figure from NECA is a mess. Plus, I guess NECA said we may see them retool and rerelease the figures they did in the past with the new packaging.

Exactly. For any older figures, I would absolutely hold off. Randy has said on twitter that they are going to be re-releasing them in unique packaging, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are a few tweaks to a few of them. Maybe even corresponding atomic breath pieces for them.

If anybody has a Books A Million close to them, look there! That's the only actual store that I've seen this figure in!

Finally got it, found him at my LCS. pictures dont do justice, in hand he looks way better.
He is super articulated, Neca is top notch in my book. Neca is one of the top figure companies for me without a doubt... Love the classic head sculpt. He is 7" inches (feet to head) not counting the tail but bulky body type Last edited by Vamp; 12-08-2019 at 12:31 AM.. |

That is the MonsterArts Kong. I wanted to get some last pictures in of him before I put him up on ebay because I really don't like this figure.

Well he's always had loose joints in the arms and I'm honestly not a big fan of the Jackson Kong design. I've mostly kept him because that is only Kong figure I could get, but I'd rather have either a 33 Kong or one directly from a Toho film.

I'm dying for a good Kong figure too. I can't believe the prices people paid for that one. I like the Mezco ones enough, but I would really like something based on the '33 or '76 movies.
