none in my area. Only one tru got 4 of them, only movie - figures mysteriously disappeared (translates to store employees stole it) paint app sucks and so does his facial expression so it's an easy pass for me even though this is my favorite movie and batman incarnation of all time

This the first action figure I have gotten in a really long time that made me glad that I was able to buy it, and really pleased with the figure itself. Time machines need to be made just so we can go back and show our young selves the toys we will have when we were older.
Anyhoo, has anyone been able to get the mask off the figure; I hear there is a Michael Keaton face sculpted under there. I am really curious to see it, but I don't want to risk damaging my precious. |

Well I was at TRU today and asked the employee there that is a huge comic person if he had seen the NECA exclusive come in and he said they did come in last Monday but a guy bought every single one of them as soon as the store opened. -_-

Feckin' scalpers. Unless this guy seriously knew 8 friends who really needed them, but let's be honest, feckin' scalpers.

One of my TRU's had only sold 3 of the case of 8 they got ( I was there on x-mas eve). Sad part is that the chest logo is pretty bad on all of them. I got the best one a few weeks ago when they had not sold any. They are in a strange place in the store so I don't think collectors know they are there. I also think Hastings still has them on the website.

Doubtful. Even the employee was disappointed because he was planning to buy one for himself, but he did not even get the chance to grab one.

One of my local ToysRUs stores had 8 of these Batman figures (a previous store I had checked the week they came out and they said it was sold out). Interestingly, they did not have the Blu-ray bundle sticker on the packaging. I didn't buy any but was tempted to pick another one up.

Good news everyone, my TRU got in a ton more of those NECA Keatons in today. They had 16 of them on the shelf.
The bad news, only three of the 16 had good paint jobs (one even had a cracked elbow), no movie was included with them (so it was $25 for just the figure). More good news, they also had the DCC BTAS line on the shelves. Bad news, Catwoman was disarmed:

You know what, I wasn't going to get him at first, but hot damn I am so glad I did. He is awesome. He doesn't feel fragile, his joints are nice and tight, but not to the point where I feel like they are going to break. I wish he had a rubber cape as I am not a fan of cloth capes, but I do like being able to drape them over his arms. The cape aside, my only two minor nitpicks is that I do not like how they placed his kneecaps as they look like they are sideways even when he is standing straight up and I wish the insignia was not connected to the cowl as it looks weird when you turn his head. Other than that though, this figure is awesome. I can not believe the excellent sculpt NECA did here, but they done an amazing jog bringing my favorite live action costume to toy form.

Nice pictures with the Batman, shame they aren't allowed to do any other DC figures like this because a Christopher Reeve Superman would be terrific in 7" scale. I'm always impressed with NECA's sculpt work, it's their paint that you've got to check for. Mainly referring to eyes, usually the general work is acceptable on their stuff.

Whoah, wait, your TRU had DCC?! In your previous post there was the animated Catwoman, but you got it at TRU? My local small TRU and the big one in driving distance never have DCC.

Yeah, I should have figured you wouldn't buy a toy so obviously broken in box. Honestly would anyone here actually buy a toy if you could clearly see it was broken in store. I was just startled to hear about DCC toy in a TRU, I wouldn't have known about Watchmen DCC stuff at TRU since I didn't go to TRU for a long time and 2009 was at the tail-end of that stretch. I didn't start regularly checking TRU again until winter 2013 since my Wal-Marts and Targets were good at stocking MU and Transformers so I never needed to check with TRU then.

It's a miracle!!! After seeing reports of more of these popping up at TRU,decided to try my luck, and to my shock,I found 8,only 2 were worth getting, picked up the best one,not sure if I'll open this one,may just leave it MIB and enjoy the artwork, afraid it will break if I open it!

It appears a lot of TRU are getting more of these. Seeing it posted on FB groups that they (NECA) either released more or there are old stock being put out. It's just the figure, not the BD combo.

I'd like to see an update to this figure. I know it probably won't happen, but I was never entirely satisfied with the torso. It's too skinny compared to the legs, and I think the figure would benefit with a torso covering more akin to the recent DC figures (Reeve, West, and Ledger). It's also kinda bow-legged and that's another design element I think NECA has improved upon in the past couple of years. Still, I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of giving everyone Superman-style trunks to cover up the hip joints. It replaces the problem of visible joints with the problem of giving the Keaton suit trunks when they're not supposed to have any. It also looks odd especially on non-superhero characters like Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees who wear pants.
