This doesn't add up. I don't understand how this thing can weigh 91lbs, cost $320 AND be made of foam.
I guess if this information is true then I'm out as well. I could buy a Hot Toys figure for that price. Edit: For context the $600 Sideshow statue (which has similar dimensions) is about 36lbs. Last edited by The Heat; 08-25-2016 at 01:24 PM.. |

I wonder how much it would cost if it was made like the Trophy Wall, Lawgiver, or Even Freddy's furnace. Is foam cheaper? I would think it would be lighter, but apparently not...

Dashing a lot of dreams with that 300-dollar price tag. Absolutely ludicrous price for this piece.

Randy confirmed Lambert is in series 11, early next year.

So all the weight's in the base? It must have cost a fortune to tool and licence or whatever if that price is right for something that's mostly foam.
I can't justify that money at all, cool as it is. I buy too many of NECA's lines for that to work out.

91lbs, surely there's a mis-listing there.
for something, at least in regards to the pics, this scale would have to be made out of lead(well, maybe steel) to weigh 91lbs. that or they have to wooden crate it, because they think the foam is too fragile for shipment. Last edited by Dragasses; 08-25-2016 at 10:57 PM.. |

What a quick transition from "OH FUCK YEAH!!!" to "Nnnnnnnnope!" this whole thing turned out to be. Somehow I feel like it's even worse that it doesn't weigh 91lbs, given its price.
Oh well. Cinemachines purchase: re-justified. |

Wow! No way is it 91 lbs. I bet 20 at most. Really feel this is over priced. This should have come in at half that price at most. I will wait for more info on this before I jump. I want this but way to expensive for a foam paper weight.

I love NECA and their Alien line, but... oof! This is something I would have happily paid 100 bucks for, but more than that? Sadly that tag shuts me out.
I guess I'm just confused on how they can make 1/4 figures out of solid plastic (some with lights and sounds) for half of that price. And then the foam facehugger that is over 3' long, has a bendy feature, and sells for around 60 bucks. This news has simultaneously made me weep for joy, and out of disappointment. |

And yeah, it's $319. It's an awesome piece, but I can think of other things I'd rather spend that dough on first. Oh, well. |

Cool. Again, not really a surprise, since they're able to re-use the entire compression suit mold and only have to sculpt a new head. She might not sell big but she's low-risk and at least the space-suited trio will now be complete.

Hopefully BBTS fucked up the price, too. Maybe they left out a decimal point and it's really $31.90? |

Just on that, Randy expects it to sell at $300+. I didn't even buy the Queen or 'Loader until I got them well below RRP.

Lambert seems to be coming with two different heads as a result of being able to use the compression suit mold yet again.

Honestly, with NECA's attention to detail and screen accuracy, I'd gladly pay 60-70 just for a hollow, plastic version of this. It is a prop, a statue, it doesn't need bells and whistles. |

This may be one of those items that I pass on, until I see it on clearance somewhere for 40-60% off, like I did with the Blade Fighter.
Edit*** Actually at the $300 tag, I'll wait until it's 70-90% off! |

Everyone on Facebook is flipping out on NECA for both the price tag and the fact that the Jockey is made out of foam and latex. Everyone seems convinced that the thing will disintegrate within a year.
NECA may want to rethink this. The guy above who suggested that they make it out of hollow plastic probably has a good idea. |

My heart goes out to NECA and Randy for the crap they're gonna hear about the price, but it is really baffling compared to other products they've made/are making.
I'd be all about a rotocast plastic version. They can still achieve the same detail and paintwork and drastically reduce the price like that, right? I mean, obviously I don't know the intimate details, but there's no obvious reason this should be that expensive. |

Hell, I think NECA's Alien Queen and Power Loader were fairly priced for what they were. But this is nuts.
