Man. They are just pumping these things out. I'm so far behind it aint funny. No TRU around me sells them it seems. I have sen Alien products but only once saw a couple Preds and went back to get them after payday and they were gone.

Man I hope I can actually get one. Even though it's not as good as the first movie (I still like it though) the City Hunter is my favorite Predator next to Wolf and I can't find one of the previously made figures that's not ridiculously priced.

I like both Jungle and City Hunter but I don't know that I'll be wanting both in the ultimate treatment immediately, for me Jungle Hunter is the "must get" one and then City Hunter will be a "if I still have some funding left over or it's still in stock come holiday time" figure. NECA has revealed too much that I want and it all comes out in periods close to each other so I'll have to do some serious thinking about what I really want and what's just cool to have from my point of view. If only money and space were as abundant as wishful thinking.

Predator 2 was my introduction the the franchise because I saw it on TV when I was little. Of course all the good stuff was cut out and I didn't actually see the movies uncut until I saw the first movie down the road.
Plus I think City Hunter has a cooler more unique look compared to Jungle Hunter. And he had the smart disc which is the ****. |

Oh by no means necessary do I dislike Jungle Hunter. It's definitely a look that has stood the test of time but the color of City Hunter's armor and the way it was placed always stood out more to me. Up until recent years with all the NECA Predators at least I'd seen a bunch of Predators with silver armor and in a similar fashion to Jungle Hunter. And I never really thought of it but yeah I could see Japanese ninja look to City Hunter. Just kind of amps up his badassary.
The end between Dutch and Jungle Hunter is really good don't get me wrong but the scene in Predator 2 where City Hunter just wipes the floor with Keyes' team is probably one of if not my #1 Predator moment ever. They go in thinking that they got it in the bag and WHAM! they get rocked so hard it hurts (literally in this case). And again first time seeing the smart disc. Then the rest of the movie is the the intense cat and mouse game between City Hunter and Harrigan which even I'll admit is pretty much the same as the first movie but in a city instead of a jungle but since I saw it first...you know unfair advantage and all. Plus I like the idea of a Predator tearing up a city instead of a jungle. Like the first(?) comic with Dutch's brother that Predator 2 is more or less based off of. Damn they're still doing comics? I gotta look into that.
I did see an Archie vs Predator comic last time I popped into the bookstore and laughed my ass off. I'd love to check that out. |

Hey guys, I was wondering are there any female predators in the comics? I'm not really up to speed on the continuity.

None that I'm aware of. I've wondered about that myself.

I read on NECA's Twitter that they are aware of her existence and want to make an action figure of her eventually. So she might pop up in another comic-heavy wave in a few years. Or maybe even sooner. Last edited by RamenRider; 03-11-2016 at 12:52 AM.. |

Yes but it also starred a female Predator called Big Mama, that's the one who teaches the human the ways of the Yautja. At least that's what the Wiki says, I haven’t read that comic, but I read about Big Mama on NECA's Twitter page so I figured she’s real.

That i don't remember, but i do know for a fact a human female was accepted into their tribe, and she was then walking around with predator gear and weapons.

There was a female human named Machiko who was inducted into a predator clan and was outfitted with their armor and technology. Hot Toys had already made a figure of her several years ago. Wouldn't be a stretch to see NECA do a downscaled version of her someday.

To my memory the Hot Toys figure took some huge design liberties compared to how she looked in the actual comics.

Is $25 a good deal for City Hunter? I've found a few new ones on eBay and they're all about that price.
I know I could wait for the new Ultimate version but I kind of prefer the older version. Don't really care about more articulation. |

Masked or Unmasked? The Unmasked version tends to go for more, but I guess it really doesn't matter. Provided that it's not from Hong Kong, I would say yes.

Those are possibly bootlegs at that price, I remember last year a bunch of sellers on eBay all of the sudden were sporting the "series 8 masked Jungle Hunter" for only around $20 and they all turned out to be bootlegs. Go on with caution with eBay listings that aren't from a verified source since these figures are old enough for bootlegs to be out in the market.

Masked, in the package, with all the extras. If they are bootlegs are they that bad.

I ordered a Jungle Hunter from China that turned out to be a bootleg, or so I have been told, and yet, having examined the official NECA product in someone else's collection subsequently, I'm frankly unsure what makes mine 'bootleg,' because the only difference that I can see is poor paint application on the camouflage mesh where it's supposed to stand out in relief against the predator's stomach and thighs, and that's a matter of quality control, not 'bootlegging.' The flaw is only obvious if you're holding the figure an inch from your nose, so who cares?
My vintage McFarlane predator is still the most screen-accurate that I have seen up to this point. The helmet sculpt and other details are flawless. Pity that the figure has practically no articulation! Last edited by Skoob; 03-17-2016 at 07:43 PM.. |

Unfortunately, no such thing as McFarlane and articulation.
I'm a big fan of McFarlane and the amount of detail they use, but they do need to step up the articulation. Walking Dead figures, while not a fan of the scale, would be much better with more articulation. |

Pity that the figure has practically no articulation! I used to have the McFarlane Predator 2 and even though I thought it was kind of wonky articulation wise I sill loved it a lot. Unfortunately it broke a good while ago which is why I've been wanting the NECA version since they announced it. Last edited by snake5289; 03-17-2016 at 07:59 PM.. |

I used to have all of the McFarlane Predators, which I ended up selling off recently. They were neat, and were mostly accurate, but the heads were always too small proportion wise, and man...were those things fragile.
Looking at that auction, it's a bootleg. The dark card, and the reddish paint around the arms at the elbow joint give it away. Truthfully though, it's not bad. Like someone said, unless you have the original figure, no one will notice. I remember bootlegs of NECA'S TMNT figures flooding ebay a while back, and those were bootlegs that were actually pretty good, and in some cases, considered to be better than the originals. I spotted Leo at a local toy show recently, and if felt WAY sturdier than the original, not to mention I liked the fact that it had the cartoon colored headband. Had they had all four of them, I would have picked them up. If you don't keep your Predators MOC, bust that guy open and take some pics. I'd love to see what it looks like out of box! Will do. Since I'm planning to have him facing off against my MKX Sub-Zero I'll try to take a few shots of them duking it out.
