I would really like for NECA now that they are doing the comic predators to do Light-Stepper. I know I've said a shit ton now that I want to see Broken Tusk from the original AVP, but a Light-Stepper (or One Hand) would be pretty neat. Not only does Light-Stepper have a pretty cool set of armor but he's missing his right hand, and then he solo killed a predalien even with his handicap. He's also like the only predator from the comics who actually shows up for more than one story.

Since I mentioned the videogame Predators, the same goes for their serpent enemies, the Xenomorphs. I would love to see some of the unique Xenos from Colonial Marines such as the bull/rhino/juggernaut boss Xeno and those creepy albino Xenos with the T-Rex arms that explode when you get too close. I also really liked the design of the Spitter as well, which has already received a figure from Play Arts Kai. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 04-16-2015 at 01:07 AM.. |

I never really read any of the comics so I haven't seen any of those Predators nor can I speak up for them, but I do hope that somewhere down the line they tackle some of the video game versions, such as the multiplayer skin versions from AVP, and in particular, Stalker, Lord, and Spartan, as they all had very unique bio-masks that would make the figures look great beside the upcoming AVP figures. I also wouldn't mind seeing some of the Alien skins from that game as well, namely Specimen 6, Nethead and the Praetorian.

YES !!! i would love to see them redo the kenner Aliens as well... mantis , crab, bull etc... as for predators im now awaiting to see how that sega genesis verison will look when it's finally available as well as the Dark horse first appearance predator. i still haven't came up with a new back support for Scavage yet, so he is still guarding my computer lol. i've been busy with rearranging my Batman shelf, and i still have to open up my new MS Carnage , and playing Mortal Kombat X rough times here lol |

A teaser image/reveal has shown what the Ambush Predator will look like, it seems to just be Viper Predator but cast in translucent plastic with the mask in silver and the new blade weapons in silver as well, hopefully we'll learn more soon.
The image comes from Twitter, and I couldn't find exactly if this will be a convention exclusive or something else, I guess we'll find out more as it's revealed. Edit: I did some digging and found that this will be a convention exclusive. Action Figure Insider has the full scoop and some more pictures.

Well the old Ambush Pred was just a clear version of the Renegade mold with some new parts so I am not surprised NECA is basically doing the same thing since that is what most of their Predator figures are anyway.
Than being said I am not complaining. The Viper was a great mold and I hope they find a way to re-use the arm blades in a later figure. |

I'll definitely be picking this one up since it's a Kenner Pred, but I'm kinda pissed that the bio mask is a Viper Predator repaint as opposed to being closer in design to the original Kenner figure. That figure had one of my favorite bio mask designs, and it's a shame they chose the easy route on this one. Hopefully if enough people gripe about it, Neca will go back and touch it up a bit the way they have with other figures in the past.

I'm kinda disappointed too that the figure doesn't include his weird black "flak jacket" that the original had. I was really hoping to see how it would have been incorporated, and it would have been neat to finally see snap on armor pieces, perhaps opening the door for future Predator customization options. (A "build-your-own-Predator" line would be SICK!) I know it's probably lighting and camera tricks, but I really do hope that he has that semi green luminescent tint to him. Would really make the figure stand out and pop against the rather boring invisible yautjas we have already received. Honestly though it's kind of a lame exclusive, especially when compared to the recent non-exclusive figures we've gotten over the last year. Speaking of exclusives, I finally picked up an exclusive from a few years back, Orange Sherbert (Albino) Predator (or who I affectionately refer to him often as "Sunstorm Predator" after the sherbert colored seeker from Transformers,) completing my "Dead End" collection of Predators. |

I think (emphasis on this coming from MY memory) NECA said the upcoming AVP preds from series 14 and 15 will have some interchangeable armor pieces, probably just the different wrist attachments or shoulder cannons.

I really wish NECA would either re-release or take another stab at this guy...(the way they did the Predator Elder V2.)
And this time around, preferably with soft rubber tusks that can be removed from the helmet and won't snap in half. The secondary market is really ridiculous and this broken tusk thing is getting old. Just keeping the thread alive so it's not completely forgotten! |

I second the notion of re-releasing the super Predators! On Twitter Randy seems to have said they won't upgrade body mold, but that doesn't mean we couldn't get a round two with better paint than original release. Either a full series of Berserker, Falconer, and Tracker or maybe a three pack or even a couple of two packs (Berserker with Falconer and Tracker with a hound). All three on their own have stupid ebay prices and some I consider incomplete in their original form. Falconer didn't get his bird until phasing Falconer in series 7!

Big red may actually be re-released. Randy has discussed with fans on Twitter the idea of making a "greatest hunters" wave which would basically be highly demanded repacks of fan-favorites. Big Red is frequently mentioned as a strong contender for one of the positions.

that would be great !! so the ebay scalpers can say good bye to their big pay. i've seen alot of figures that were previously made from many different lines and because they are no longer available these guys feel the need to try and completely rape someone who wants one.
Re-releases are a great tool, provided they are done right. While I would love to see a "Greatest Hits" Predator wave with a few of the harder to find ones, what would be the point if they weren't readily available and still somewhat difficult to find in retailers? The re-release for Pacific Rim recently was a great example of what I perceive to be a failed re-release, as the re-issue wave was as tough as ever to track down at retailers. If you were to take a look on Ebay, those "2nd Deployment" figures are quickly rising up to the insane prices the initial releases were (especially Striker Eureka...good god...) That said, a re-release of the super predators would be greatly helpful, not to mention a re-issue of the skull set for NECA's Trophy Wall base, since some of those skulls were very hard to find due to the figures they were packing them with (such as the exclusive two packs,) and they also drive an insane price on the secondary market. |

Not Predator related, but I do hope NECA makes a Striker Eureka v2 like they made GD v2. I don't care about Crimson Typhoon.
I have to get 90% of my NECA stuff online anyway so re-releases open a window (however brief it may be) to get things closer to normal price again. I've only gotten 5 of my 50 NECA products from actual stores (TRU, Hastings) and the rest were online or the 3 from my flea market. My TRU stocks them but it only has like two lines at a time and it's never what I want at the moment.

Hell Yeah, Re-issue Big Red! The only place in my area that sells Neca Predator figures is TRU and you have to get there at just the right time or you miss out completely.
BTW, Here's the Batman figure I use to go with my Predator figures, He's a DC Direct Classic Icons Batman. He's essentially the same as the old Alex Ross Batman except this one has a different head. He's the closest thing I could find to the way the costume looked in Dead End and the scale is spot on IMO. the only bad thing is that he has limited articulation. What does everyone else use? |

For a second I thought you were talking about the PAK Jungle Hunter and I was all "Has he seen that abomination?! That face is atrocious!" Then I finished reading the post and realized you were talking about that newer demon-looking one. I personally don't like it, maybe if it had been called an oni that was inspired by Predator instead of being called a predator then I could get more into it. As a toy it should be fun to mess with but this is a case where the design is divisive.
