Is anyone here a member of NECA's Aliens Club? Trying to find someone who can help me order that SDCC Exclusive Yellow Sewer Alien.

i went to TRU today and was looking at the transformers figs. i noticed micheal bay is running out of ideas for his transformers movies cause one of his new charcters called "berserker" for his new movie looks just like Predator. anybody else notice that?

I think Berserker is more uninspired laziness on Hasbro's part than Michael Bay running out of ideas, since Berserker looks like a slightly updated version of DoTM's Crankcase figure. Even has the same alt mode.

I'm actually pretty sure that "berserker" is Hasbro's attempt to redo the Dreads from Dark of the Moon because it just looks like Crankcase and they even gave him his spike-grenades from DotM this time around. I just can't believe how expensive the deluxe figures are for this new movie. All that being said I'm pretty sure the Dreads physical similarities to the predator were an intentional reference.

So, I just ordered the big Alien preorder lot from NECA. Hoping that means I'm a member now. I recall people not being sure because they received no verification that they were in it. I had to buy another Kenner Vasquez, just so I can maybe buy the sewer poopy xeno. Yep, I have an addiction. Sigh.

I'm not sure if I can order that sewer mutation one though as I'm in the UK... Like yourself, I'll also now have 2 Kenner Vasquez |

Oh wait, you already did. Welcome, then P.S. Hehehe, poopy xeno. Must be the only version left for NECA to do

I don't know why they would release Burke in a two pack. I would have rather just got him single but whatever

2 pack or not, I'm just happy to have a Burke figure on the way, lol. Extra beasties always come in handy.

I guess they weren't confident he'd sell well on his own.

All the Vickers I've seen have enormous irises. It looks like she's on Melange.

i bought the accessories pack with the turrets yesterday.
One of the turrets broke immediately after i took it out of the package and the way it broke there just really is no fixing it. Brought it back to TRU but neither it nor the closest one to it had another one....soooo...refund for now. |

How do you get the Mantis Alien to stand up for longer than a few seconds?

I have to have mine using at least one of its arms as a third leg (I leave it displayed in a quadrupedal position), to be fair this is actually accurate to mantises in the wild as they have a terrible sense of balance and will easily fall over if they don't have something to hold on to.

Got the Hadley’s Hope set yesterday. I love the Burke figure but there are a few issues. I had to be pretty creative with the pose to get him balancing, and whilst the paint on the face/eyes is fine, there’s quite a bit of splashing on the shirt.
The concept alien on the other hand is flawless. A solid figure with added articulation, the paint emphasises the beautiful detail in the sculpt, and the dome is perfect. I’ve always preferred the domed xenomorph look, so this is a welcomed figure. The Hadley’s Hope sign is nice too. What I’d love to see is a cocooned figure. I guess that’s entering diorama territory. |

This may not be the right place but I don't remember if there is a general Predator/Alien appreciation thread besides this one. Anyway I pre-ordered Hiya's City Hunter (along with the next volume of Batman Beyond) from Amazon the other day. And now I play the waiting game...
As for the NECA's stuff I'd love to get that bone throne for my Serpent Hunter but I just don't have the money or the space for it. |
