I wish Ripley had an alternate smiling head & Jonesy like this photo shoot: https://twitter.com/HistoryToLearn/s...78173225639936

I dig the Ripley & the Vasquez, but the damaged Xenos are my least favourite of my entire Alien collection. BUT…I have to buy them to remain a member in good standing of the club. Sigh. I hope the end of year exclusive figure is phenomenal.

I sat like a big kid watching the updates roll in on Twitter... I like and I'll be ordering also to remain in Alien Club.
Can't wait till all these orders arrive, lol. So far, waiting for 7 total Haven't opened any of my Aliens NECA yet, so that'll be fun. All in one go I say |

Looks like a solid wave. Very happy to see Ripley in her jacket finally. Vasquez also looks fantastic. Both will be must buys for me, I was hoping we would get these two specific versions. The damaged xenos are ok. I never picked up the originals when they were in the TRU two packs. The one with the exploding head is neat, but I'm probably going to skip them to save money. We'll see.

Pretty sure those sets weren't exclusives but you definitely could find them at TRU.

waves like this are why I can't do the Alien club. No use for Vasquez in that outfit and no need for more battle damaged Aliens... the Ripley will be a nice update though. At club prices that's about$75 plus $12 in shipping for figures I don't want just to get access to the exclusive alien that we know nothing about. Too rich for me.

This will be the first wave since the line debuted where I actually will not be purchasing a single figure from the wave. Where are the Kenner Xenos? How about some of the Coloniel Marines Xenos? Or some more of the crazy comic designs? I would have rather seen some fictional marines for army builders than yet another Vasquez and Ripley with some slight changes. Even a Bishop from Alien 3 would have been preferable. Highly disappointed.
I have been somewhat critical as of late over Neca's tendencies to release repaint after repaint of figures we already have. This is precisely why I did not join the Alien club, because I knew Neca had something like this up their sleeve, because now you have to get this wave in order to qualify for the end of year goodies. Very, very shady. |

I am happy for a Jacket Ripley, I only bought White top Ripley to go in the power loader, but with the Ultimate Blue/Brown aliens coming, the Damaged ones seem redundant. I mean way to go if you were wanting to build a whole hive of aliens, but get to some Couger/ Night Panther aliens, a Bull or Rhino alien , or my most wanted, an new Snake alien.

Gotta say I'm not blown away by this wave, even though I'll get it as a completist. There's also some sort of two pack coming with someone we haven't seen before, so my guess is they'll raise interest in this wave as another step in completing the line-up.
Random thoughts... I don't think that's how anyone really envisages Vasquez, even though I'm sure it's pretty accurate. Ripley's not bad, but again, a real struggle to justify even for some uber fans. The Xenos... I can use them, but apparently they're gonna be individually packed! More cost to me, especially as a member of the club if that's what these fall under. And I already own the originals. I wanted more BD Aliens, but not just re-dos. All of the above said, this is pretty much what fans wanted. NECA has to do what makes business sense AND keep the fans happy in a tough market, but they're gonna need to be careful with the repaints long term. Once they lose customers there's little chance of winning them back when you take into account the now frequent QC issues. It's every other figure now!

Not relating to all the negative reactions to this wave...personally, I love it, and will be buying all four figures.
I don't own a Ripley, as I didn't really care for the previous releases, but this one is probably the best yet, and how I usually picture her form the movie. I love smartgunner Vasquez, but I've been wanting a standard Vas since I saw (but didn't buy) the Kenner homage. This look, with the shirt instead of the tank top, was an unexpected surprise, but it's how she looked during the big alien battle in the command center. I love that she has a working chest holster, and for those of you who wanted her tank top look, the camo top is obviously a separate piece that, while probably not "removable," can likely be cut off to reveal the tank top (much like the Commando figure's vest could be cut off to reveal Arnold's camo paint and battle wound, which otherwise couldn't be seen). I ran, you can cleatly see she's using the same base torso as previous releases, so I guarantee the shirt can come off somehow. I never got the battle damaged Aliens and had been considering braving Ebay, so this is a great bonus to me. Although am I the only one who noticed that the promo pics above are of the original figures and not the "ultimate" ones? The knees and hands don't have the updated articulation. Must be old pics, lol. One more thing...you have to pay to be in the Alien Club, but then you're required to buy figures you may not want to remain in "good standing" so you can get a Club-exclusive figure that hasn't even been announced yet? Nice scam! It would probably be cheaper to sit out the Club and just buy the exclusive figure on Ebay when it hits...if it even turns out to be a figure you actually want, which bit may not. Glad I didn't even consider joining this thing. |

I knew this would be a four piece wave! Love the ladies but couldnt care less about the xenos.
Calling it now: The two pack will be Gorman and Burke + Hadley's hope diorama pieces. Both of these guys have limited potential for accessories so it makes perfect sense to package them together. They also noted that three kenner figures would be dropped in 2017 with Vasquez and the blue Xeno knocked off the list that leaves a third and final which will be revealed at SDCC. My money is on Kenner style Bishop. |

There was no enrollment fee that I know of. I ended up biting the bullet and joining, buying the bundle they are currently offering. I did so for 2 reasons, I am addicted and NEED the exclusives AND my TRU sucks now. No guarantee they will get any NECA. So, I end up with a second Kenner Vasquez and have to pay the crazy shipping prices, but I am now guaranteed to get the figures, at least. Total trade-off.

The separate shipping fees for each release would count for a membership fee.

The UK shipping fees for Alien Club are surprisingly decent...
$ 8.43 (approx. £6.59) That was a total for all 6 figures (single order). Now, that's not much worse than most places over here for an order that size. |

Thing is, I'd have loved the Prometheus Lost Wave to be on the Club, but I guess it isn't due to the poor sales of the first. And then there's a lot of folks who wouldn't maintain their membership if it did appear! Probably ditto for the accessory packs. It's also really the only place to get the exclusives for most people. Gah.

Used to be you could buy an entire wave in the UK for £60, but now it's £70 and up. The Club, even with postage, works out cheaper, without having to deal with sellers who won't cover blatant QC issues. Plus they'll apparently replace the figures.

I'm new to collecting Aliens NECA, so a lot of these repaints, variations of already released figures etc are of good use to me I'm also grateful of the chance to pick up the exclusives without needing to suffer eBay prices, lol |

Looks like a decent wave to me. Both humans looks pretty good, and this is how they appear throughout the majority of the movie. I might pick them up. The battle damaged xenos are pointless for me, though. I like that NECA seems to be mixing film-accurate stuff with the Kenner-style figures and other weird stuff. I find those neat, and nostalgic (it was the Kenner toys that first introduced me to the Aliens films) but have no desire to own them. People feel exactly the opposite, and NECA seems to be trying to make us all happy...for the most part.
The Alien Club isn't something I ever really even considered. I have always been picky over what figures I buy. IMO the thing does seem kind of scammy. Did they even announce how many figures members would be on the hook for when the announced they whole thing? |

Did they even announce how many figures members would be on the hook for when the announced they whole thing? There's simply a lot of people the club won't work for, for multiple reasons. I believe the USA shipping cost is awful? Few will want ALL the figures that guarantees the end of year exclusive. Even as a UK buyer I get the American version of the Club, meaning I have to keep checking exchange rates, and waiting until the random time when an item isn't listed purely under USA. There's no notification to my knowledge of when that changes. The Club doesn't cover a lot of what you'd want to buy whether it made up the end of year quota or not. The Prometheus Lost Wave and Covenant accessory packs for instance. It's a pain in the arse having to email them and then make my own arrangements with often terrible UK sellers. I just wish there was a list or a tag to work off in that sense.

Better articulated dead aliens?!?! So they can strike more dynamic poses as they get shot?
Love the new Vasquez. Must buy. Ripley's headsculpt is still off, but I'll probably get her anyway. |

I never even considered joining this Alien Club for a second. I have a feeling the Club will end up folding pretty quick after this year, based on the reactions I've been reading online.
