This is awesome! I've been hoping for this guy for a long time. I've never bit the bullet on the mcfarlane one because the Neca ones are so much better to me.

Not bad. Wonder what the chances are of NECA making an updated Wolf from AVP:R? He's easily my favorite Predator and I'd love if they redid him with the current Predator body.

I'd say there's pretty good chance. They've said that 2015 will feature a return of AvP figures and homages. I don't expect them to stop at just Scar as they get hit a lot with requests for AvP Preds.

It's probably because the movie stinks, but I don't care much for these Predators. Apparently NECA doesn't care for these designs either but because enough fans have asked for them they're doing it for the fans so that's nice.

Do I see some much needed ab crunch action going on under that chest armor?

They do seem to be adding a decent amount of pose to these figures, but I feel it also detracts from the overall look. Until we see complete or official product solicits nothing is for sure. I'm actually glad the Predators up to now don't have any ab crunch, they look a lot better without it. NECA's hero Ash has an ab crunch but it's mostly hidden under his shirt, if a Predator had one it would be naked and exposed which looks very "bleh", these AVP figures might just have it since they have more armor to hide the pose and they did a lot more moving in the films than the original two.

Neither AVP film was good, but yeah I admit I like the Wolf Predator from the sequel as he was much closer to the originals. Heck, I've even got a soft spot for Celtic just because of his mask.
I'm pretty sure McFarlane's AVP predators had ab crunches, I had those when they came out in 2004 but they're in a bin somewhere now. I'm sure these new ones will be better overall.

Yeah I like that mask too and the fight he had was pretty cool.
I hated the arms on the McFarlane Predators. They were stuck in that one pose where it looked like they were about to throw the smart disc or something. At least the two I had were. |

I can see celtic's gauntlet, double j elbows, ball j chest which I dont think is necessary. I hope they keep the articulation count thesame as the preds thats out there.

It doesn't look like they've done anything since posting the previous photo of this guy last year(?) except take him apart.

Something I did wonder: will these figures also be ages 17+ like all previous Predator figures or will they be ages 14+ like the Pacific Rim figures since this was also just a PG-13 movie? Doesn't really matter to me, but I am curious.
