It's nice to see this franchise getting some love! The figures look great and if I were to get one it would be this figure. One of my favorite scenes in the movie.

To me it adds the gravitas the scene needs for George to stand up to Biff - not just as a nerdy picked-on guy, but as someone doing something genuinely important. It lends real weight to the perfectly timed buildup. The subsequent scenes riff (riff - Biff?) on the idea that when George stands up to Biff he becomes a confident stand up guy permanently, and Biff stops being a bullying thug permanently (a former coward can become brave, a former bad guy becomes... not bad?) but really it feels like movie logic because life doesn't work that way. We as an audience are so focused on George standing up to him so Marty can be born, and then Marty getting home in time to save Doc, we let the nice neat bow everything gets wrapped up in slide.
The sequel (Part 2) really played with the idea of events changing people though - especially Biff. What would a Biff who got what he wants looks like? Basically a monster. I mean, they have him murdering George McFly to get Lorraine - who he forces into getting fake boobs and cheats on anyway, and he's even prepared to kill Marty. The films don't shy away from showing that Biff is not just a big bullying buffoon, but he can be genuinely nasty. Okay, back to toys. Why does "Tales from Space" Marty look like he's wearing make-up? Last edited by Dolemite; 06-03-2020 at 03:05 PM.. |

Cannot wait. In b2tf, Biff was my icon. A real man.
B2TF looks great. I feel neca wil do a car if the sales warrant it. Probably depends on the jaws and tmnt sales but if that can do 1/4 scales, they can the car well. |

I'm looking forward to Marty (and hopefully Doc) but I really hope Neca doesn't give all of the Marty figures a dumbstruck expression. I know he has that a lot in the movies due to traveling through time but I'd like a little variety in the figures.

Yeah, I totally get what you're saying, and I agree with you to an extent. I'm just saying that it's a really, really dark turn in an otherwise fairly whimsical and lighthearted movie. It just feels off compared to everything that came before it. Well, except for Doc being mowed down with a machine gun, but it's okay! He was wearing a bullet-proof vest.

Well, I'm sure that's not the only time a character like Biff had gotten out-of-line with a lady...
Biff was actually crossing lines with her in the cafeteria scene - in front of everyone. A couple of the bits that always stuck out to me as odd, were the Marty 'Visitor from Space' scene with the Walkman - it's so comical and silly, but the movie pulls it off. And the other is the bit where he gets hit by a car and wakes up in Lorraine's room. What parent - even in the 50's - hits someone with a car and then while they're unconscious, rather than take them to a hospital - puts them in their teenage daughters bed?! Maybe I'm overthinking things... |

There's a lot of weird shit going on in BttF if you stop and think about it. There's even an incest thing with Marty's mom wanting to bang him and all, which they actually DO address: "Are you saying that my mom has the hots for me??" Still an awesome movie, though! |

Ha, I honestly think these look great, the pics they showed during "SDCC" were pretty good looking. I'm surprised Biff is getting another head but Marty isn't. Doc is coming with Einstein so that makes up for the lack of another head there.

Wow. I think this is possibly the worst version of the time machine I’ve seen. I do t think I’ve ever seen it in flat gray with no silver drybrushing. Is this final?

I don't get this piece at all, the Jada one only cost me $20 at Walmart.
