Let's see, plain gray color, almost undecernable wheel detailing, unpainted flux bands, plain unpainted junction boxes. only surface level painting details. I mean why are the three red capacitors in the rear of the car only painted red on top? Com on NECA, you're better than this. For less money and in the same scale I can buy a Welly version. Only thing NECA has over the Welly or Jada cars is that NECA put door windows in. $50? Easy pass NECA.

I think it looks better? I swear I will have no idea how I feel about the head until I get it in hand. I wonder why the sculpt with the glasses doesn't have one without them. I don't know if I want him to have a mouth open expression all the time.

That's my only real issue. Every Marty figure is using mostly open mouth head sculpts, with 1 smiling sculpt (BTTF2) and one closed mouth with glasses. I generally don't like that style much, as they just tend not to turn out right completely right. I'd much prefer at least one of them to have a base head sculpt with little to no expression.

Oscar nom for best screenplay - thoroughly deserved. It probably should have won. It's about as perfect as a script can get, and along with movies like 'Tootsie' it gets taught as an example of a great script.
IronicalLy, Tootsie lost most of its Oscars noms because of the Oscar bait juggernaut of Ghandi (E.T. suffered the same fate the same year). But the year of BttF was the year when Out of Africa won loads (the movie Pollack made after Tootsie). However, BttF lost in screenplay to Witness rather than OoA, because the latter was based on a book (it won in the category for best adapted screenplay though). Spielberg thought he had it in the bag with The Colour Purple, but he was blocked by OoA. Intra-web high five! |

Biff's looking good That second head sculpt is great. Small petty minor gripe/thought, could use an Oh Lďż˝*Lďż˝* magazine.

He does come with it. It's the other side of the paperwork I believe. Hidden.

NECA has done a great job, especially for the price point, at least on the Ultimate Figures! Target seems to be stocked with these, as well as the new Hoverboard plush pillow! A LOT of new BTTF products out this year for the 35th anniversary.

The sculpts are really great on Doc. Is that another Marty in the pic, or can you remove the vest from the first one? Didn't get mine in from Dorkside yet.

It's either an unannounced Marty or they customized one for that pic. My Marty's vest is glued onto pegs on the front of he jean jacket.

Doc's "freak-out" head sculpt is hilarious. I love it.

Doc looks really good. Its great to see that the goggles are a swappable/removeable accessory. Also is it me or is the neutral face fixed/tweaked a bit from the original preview? Think it covers most of what you'd want for a BTTF1 Doc. Being greedy wanting some electric cables and the brain wave analyzer helmet but I guess thats a cost issue.

I still say the selection of accessories is weird. Why the blueprints and wrench?! He should have come with the miniature red car, and better yet the 1950s TV with stand to hook up to Marty's camcorder. A framed photo of Thomas Edison that he "talks to" would have made more sense too.
