dude, if this is anything like most of the other retro figures we'll get plastic counter parts eventually, and man does that make me happy.

I dunno, if they make it as a mego first then it doesn't seem to reach normal action figure status unless it's a part of a franchise that they're already doing. We aren't getting a regular Snake Plissken because the mego one didn't sell well enough apparently (from what I remember hearing, don't quote me on that), so one does not necessarily lead to the other. Unless they're about to announce a regular Snake, who knows, they've been on a roll with great reveals recently.

It still stings. I get that doing them as a mego first to test the waters is less costly since there isn't as much new tooling/sculpting but I still feel like maybe it would have sold better if it was a regular figure since that's what most people initially wanted, but then again that might not have sold that well since it isn't exactly a high profile license.

Just like Home Alone, I bet the sculpts on these will be fantastic. I just have no interest in Mego style figures.

Same here , No care for the Mego style stuff. If NECA would make a standard figure of Bill and Ted and the Booth I would jump on that in a heartbeat.

The face sculpt screw up is genuinely hilarious. They looked more stoned than usual. Makes you wonder if the movies were just one huge acid trip.

I'm honestly not sure which one is worse. Bill looks like a sleepy 90 year-old man and Ted looks like the bastard lovechild of John Leguizamo and the dude who played Kylo Ren.

which is odd, because alex winter always looks a tiny bit bug-eyed.

I guess there goes my chance to see these outside of the mego style. Last edited by Dragasses; 09-01-2016 at 12:13 PM.. |
