I've had this figure for for a while now. It's really, really well-done. I picked up two (because I wanted an extra campfire), and both have great paint apps and quality control issues are nonexistent.
Can't wait for the Part 5 Dream Jason to come out later this month. |

I hate to say it Joe but you got the machete turned around the wrong way. This is a cane or a billhook, or a hawkbill machete so the sharp side is on the inside curve unlike a traditional machete. Oh well, great shots regardless!
I think my only con for this figure is the unmasked head. Paints are unusually sloppy and inconsistent from one to another that I've seen in stores and for some reason they painted an eyebrow over the right eye that wasn't there on the film makeup. Overall though, this figure is great! The campfire set piece alone is just brilliant and I'm kinda amazed they put in a multi-piece sculpt for the machete and knife handles. Additionally I really wasn't sure if they were going to layer the overalls like they did so it was genuinely a bit of a surprise to me that they did it after all. I'm really looking forward to the Part 5 Roy Burns figure next! Last edited by Straker; 09-03-2018 at 01:07 PM.. |

A phenomenal gallery, for an excellent figure.
The only weak spot is the unmasked head, the stock paint is a mess imo. I had to repaint mine, there was just too much that was wrong. The extra eyebrow, the hair on the deformed side was too sloppy and I didn't like how the teeth and gums were all painted white. That said, I love this ultimate Jason, he's possibly the best one yet. I wish they would release that shrine in an accessory pack. Though If they did I'd be tempted to build a whole diorama around it. |

I think if NECA ever does a second F13 accessory pack, re-releasing the shrine would be a no-brainer. The sculpt still holds up really well, although I hope they could re-tool the base so it doesn't look so blocky and flows more naturally into the floor. Quote:
That said, the paint on the masked head is great. I was surprised at how well the eye came out. Very clean and centered through the little hole in the sack. BTW, a Walgreens-exclusive Bag Head Jason Funko POP just came out as well: |

Thanks. I based it off screenshots I took from the movie, behind the scenes photos, and I referenced the original neca figure.

I have that same shrine from the old Jason/Pamela two-pack released back in the day that Joe's using, but sadly I don't have room to display it currently. But when I do, I'm sorely tempted to take your suggestion and build a dio of Jason's cabin around it as well.

I'm sorely tempted to mail you my unmasked Jason head and let you go to town on it as well (but I might try my own paint skills instead). That really looks good.
