I’m so jumping on these! I missed the funko figures and only bought the shark. Now those went through the roof.

Any chance we see Matt?

I bet they want to do them. But it depends on how much Richard Dreyfuss is asking for his likeness rights. There's a couple easy re-releases of Brody that could be done, so timing Hooper with that and/or the shark is a possibility.

Those headsculpts are so good, they've got to be the best in this line right?

I don't really collect this line but can't miss out on these, even if Hooper isn't made.

I agree. I have avoided the 8-inch cloth scale, but between these and John Nada I am going to have to find the space. And Bruce too! I just wonder how much he will be? To scale means he would be 2 ft long.

Are those faces digitally printed? The paintwork looks so perfect.

I hear that NECA is trying them for upcoming figures so yeah, I imagine these are using digital print tech for the faces.

Hooper could get a couple, as well: On the Orca, diving suit, Dinner at Brody's...

2.8. Three pounds of it... probably more. NECA isn't afraid to make their pieces heavy.

I could see them doing Bruce (uh... Jaws) in foam. they've made some really massive impossible pieces in foam before (Alien Pilot, Gremlin... I think a couple more...)

If the shark is made out of foam (and likely will be) then I'll be passing on it just as I did for their previous foam pieces like the Alien Space Jockey. I don't trust the long term durability of foam pieces compared to something made out of plastic.

Really, neca would do foam on Bruce? I also skipped the space jockey. No way am I getting attached to that only to have it crumble.

I wonder if the digitize faces is why the new Ace Ventura figure looks so good?

These look way more like hand painted rather than digitally printed faces to me.

Correct. Anything new, that NECA shows, that is still months away will typically be hand painted protos.

Those look good but two questions:

Do they get interchangeable heads? They are not listed but then What about cap and glasses? They don't look removable to me...

Also, those look like single jointed elbows...i thought double elbows were going to be the thing after Goonies right? Also, aiming those weapons with single elbows will be impossible...

Quint is just perfect. His shark tale on the boat still haunts me. I love the behind the scenes story of that as well. He liked the bottle.Lol.

I saw jaws in the 80s when I was about 6 or 7. My bedroom had a blue carpet and my bed was positioned so that you could walk around 3 sides of it. I had nightmares that I was on a raft and my carpet was the ocean. Should have listened to my parents and not watched it, but man did that thrill me. You never get those same feelings back. But neca sure strikes those memories in us all.

You guys are doing awesome, keep it up!

Translation: These figures won't look nearly as good when they hit retail.
