Is the superfluous left shin swivel just a leftover from when the Terminators had no leg articulation?

I think so, yeah. At one point, I believe Randy said it would come in handy, but that was like 2 years ago.

I finally joined the site just to tell you how much I love your photo galleries, Joe. Several times they've pushed me off the fence into purchasing, but afterwards? Well, the toys never look quite as cool on my shelf as they do in your photos. My resolve to hold out on these Kenner-inspired Terminator figures is weakening...

Yeah, sweet photo shoot, Joe...better late than never! Love the smoke effects in some of the shots, and that NECA dio works well with the dark lighting scheme. And yeah, the Power Arm Terminator is pretty freaking awesome, and shockingly has no balance issues at all despite the freaky-big arm.
BTW, if anyone was wondering, the skin tone on all of the alternate heads from the Ultimate T2 figure matches the Power Arm Terminator perfectly, just in case you buy an extra figure (like I did) and want him battle damage-free. |

I will admit the damaged head works better with the original toy since the "normal" arm had damage too. And a Robocop spike that I remember loosing pretty much immediately.

The heads to the Ultimate Terminators from the first film (Police station assault and Club Tech Noir) also work fairly well...especially with the bright colors of the Power Arm Terminator. In all cases though, it should be noted that you may need to mod the heads a bit with a dremel, or thin out the neck peg on the Kenner Terminator in order to get the best fit, since Neca suffers from the same issue as Hasbro and can't figure out a standard neck peg size. |

Yeah, my T2 Arnold head just popped on to the Power Arm Terminator's neck peg without any problems. Perfect fit, zero modding required. It's the same base figure, so that's to be expected.

NECA has really become just a wonderful unique company, not afraid to release crazy, risky, whacky figures like this and the NES Jason. They really saved themselves from obscurity, a path they were headed down until this ultimate line came around.
