So is NECA's 6" Rocky line pretty much done now? No more new figures for it except cheap repaints like this? I thought NECA hinted a year or more ago that a Mickey figure was in the works. A Mickey/Rocky in Training 2-pack would have been a nice TRU exclusive. Insted we get video game repaints like this, and 8" Mego-style Rocky figures. I was really hoping for just 2 or more figures in their 6" Rocky line... Mickey of course, then Rocky in training sweats, and then maybe Rocky in his leather jacket and hat.

In my opinion this the weakest classic game figure so far. I like that he comes with the flag and I still think the sculpt is excellent, but so far every classic game figure has been brightly colored and vibrant as their respective games made them. They were like neon variants, distinctly different than their regular look, but still iconic and recognizable. Rocky is just made his regular colors, but patterned like the game. I know that's how the game did it since the graphics were better than the NES. I guess my overall feeling is that he doesn't stand out like the other CVG figures do, even his box is stale in comparison (that's just because of Sega's lame design).
@ShabbyBlue: I know this is really nit-picky of me, but all of their regular figures are 7" scale.

I would love this figure if it didn't have the "video game" shading and paint apps.
That flag is pretty sweet!

Not interested in the 'statue' (is that a figure?), but ohhhh does this bring me back to my wonder years... I loved playing Rocky (and Rambo) on my Sega Master System as a kid. I enjoyed playing against friends more so (at least there you could win), because with only three opponents (Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago), the computer difficulty ramped up pretty quickly. Even the training sessions between fights quickly became infuriating. Oh the nostalgic joy of the inexplicably difficult and short games of yesteryear...I never did beat Drago lol

Yeah, it's a figure. I didn't get any Rocky figures, but in general NECA is pretty good at hiding pose. Looking at the full set of images, he has a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders and elbows, most likely ball joint wrists, some kind of diaphragm joint (likely a double ball), probably ball hinged hips though those shorts could inhibit the full use, ball hinge knees, and something in the ankles (probably their typical ball jointed ankles). It's one thing to joke about how stiff their joints can be, but there are a lot of joints there.

NECA made a number of Rocky figures, I don't know how easy they are to come by but on amazon they're like $40, so you may have missed the opportunity to get the movie based figures. For some reason I hear a lot of people saying they want a regular version of a figure and not the CVG version, except NECA already made the regular version prior, and the CVG figure is just a repaint of that. The only figure that hada CVG before the regular was Batman and that's because originally DC wouldn't let them do a regular version.

As for the Rocky movie figures there was just something about the plastic of the skin tone used for Stallone that I didn't like. I feel the same way about his Rambo figures as well. As for the flag I don't recall it being released during the movie line. I really like the look and pose with the flag, but like I said before the video game shading ruins the rest of the figure for me. I actually like the skin tone on this figure though because it makes it look more like an action figure than it does a realistic interpretation. Hopefully the shading will come off with some rubbing alcohol and not ruin the rest of the figure's paint.
