Aww man...why not use the Ultimate Terminator mold instead of the older T2 mold? What a waste.
Also, if they had done the Sega CD version for the Terminator, that might have warranted a purchase because I have a lot of warm, fuzzy feelings about that game, which was terrific (especially it's soundtrack, which was a Tommy Talarico masterpiece.) The CVG line was one my my favorite lines to collect, but NECA has had a couple of misses for me as of late sadly. I'll pass. |

Hmmm, this is very different from what I would've expected. I'm also surprised they went with the older body. I honestly like the Robocop vs Terminator version much better.
The box art is really good though! Classic! Maybe if I see it in person I'll like it more. |

Randy just said the final figure will indeed be the Ultimate T-800 and not the older one.

Think I might need to see that up close first, though I could see me buying it (I've got quite a few of the 8 bit figures already).

Eew. That looks terrible.
Sometimes the videogame paintjobs work, but not in this instance. It just looks like someone randomly slapped the figure with a brush. Last edited by Dolemite; 04-12-2016 at 04:50 PM.. |

Is this supposed to be from the Genesis T2 game?

@Dolemite: I think it's just because the source material for this is so dull and less colorful compared to the other CVGA figures they've done. The Dog Alien, Jungle and City Hunter Predator, Robocop, Rambo, Jason, etc. all have more colorful and in some cases more detailed pixel-presence to allow for more popping figures compared to the mostly gray and black pixel base for T2.
It says it's based on the NES version.

Yeah but the Arcade didn't have a packaging design for NECA to emulate. Most of the games they do are almost completely forgettable or have a superior arcade version but the point is to have these movie characters with a pixel paint scheme and the console options fit the bill. I mean hell Simon Belmont is the first individual one NECA's making that is purely a video game figure in this line, plus the Contra two pack.

Eeh, am I the only one that kinda likes this ? I think the red and grey/black, even though not as pompous as other coloring choices, actually really suit the character. Plus I really like the comic feel of that cyborg face.
I am probably buying this :P |

I dig it as well. Looking forward to shooting this alongside the other Terminator game figures, especially the Endoskeleton's.
