The Dark Horse/DC figures are still in works. It's all down to getting all the licensees on board with release. Mattel, WB & DC Comics, Dark Horse. Has to go through all those hoops for approval. It may take months, may take years. Who knows wit that much red tape to deal with. Judge Dredd would require getting an additional license from 2000AD.

I think Custurd is right. The new Pennywise's proportions are off. The head is too small and the shoulders too puffy. Compare the toy to the actor.

This isn't the final figure. It's the double sized (aka the 2-Up) prototype being used to send to factory for final sculpting. things will likely change prior to production.

Two things: 1) those shoulder ruffles are made of hard plastic, not fabric, so they have to be placed a little farther out from the body to have a good range of motion, and 2) that promo shot of Pennywise has him hunched over so it's kinda hard to compare the two. And what the Hell, 3) it's still a proto so it may not be perfectly assembled, the arms and head may have to be pushed farther in.

Oh, I know it's a prototype, I'm just saying that Custurd wasn't wrong in his comments about the proportions looking off.
This Pennywise was the figure I was most looking forward to this Toy Fair, so I'm a little disappointed by what we've seen so far. The classic Pennywise OTOH, was a figure I didn't have much interest in, but that prototype has me excited. Basically, if the new Pennywise ends up just like the proto, I'll just pick up the Classic and be happy with it. EDIT: I found a couple of pix that better show how huge Pennywise's head is supposed to be: Last edited by Villano; 02-17-2018 at 03:15 PM.. |

I am with you. The Heroes of the Storm license was my favorite thing NECA did since the Pacific Rim figures. While I will likely get some of the Aliens/Predator arcade figures and Pan's Labyrinth figures, none of the brand new reveals excites me. Though I am glad the It fans are getting their Curry Pennywise.

I’d still buy a movie style Sgt. Apone if NECA just used that head.

I don't think it takes rocket science to produce new toys based on Showa designs. That's all I'm asking.
Also, that is NECA's reasoning all of the time. Last year it was, "We don't have anything new to show off at SDCC because of Toho." Then they said they would reveal something new at New York Comic Con only to say, "We don't have anything new to show off because of Toho." Last month they said they would reveal something new this weekend and now it's yet again, "Toho won't let us reveal anything." I'm tired of this bullshit excuse. Either make the damn toys and just quit.

NECA does seem to have hit a slump lately with me (fewer items of interest) but I'm still on board. I'm eagerly awaiting the moment I can pre-order the Pan's Labyrinth figures and I am hoping they announce an amphibian man from The Shape of Water. Part 2 Jason is looking good but it depends on what else releases at the time if I'll get him. Original Gremlin is great if it leads to a Stripe which from what I'm reading on twitter seems heavily implied. On twitter Randy said they are going to makes villains for Crash Bandicoot so hopefully that pans out for the fans.

It seemed to me, from Randy's replies, that the Ultimate Gremlin would come with a Stripe head.

Love the classic Pennywise. That came out of the blue.
Ultimate Gremlin looks interesting too. Would have preferred a Greta, but that’ll do! |

You’ll probably have to dremel off the baseball cap brim and may need to sand it down a bit, but it should work with relatively low effort. |

For those talking about the 2017 Pennywise, the figure on display is the 2-Up prototype. Apparently, they've already gone to the factory for changes to much of it. Spotted this:

My only minor nitpick with the 2017 Pennywise is that I wish one of the head sculpts had the wonky, google eyes.

Super excited for the Valve figures. Freeman and probably Chell are definite buys for me, and I appreciate NECA rereleasing then.
I also want the Sniper, but I know I'll feel compelled to get the rest of Team RED, which'll end up being pricey. |

Thank you. Damn that shredder is awesome. I’m still bummed playmates cancelled the tmnt classic collection line. I have all 4 turtles from the first series plus the bebop and rocksteady. I saw pics of unpainted prototypes of shredder and krang but they never came out. Sucks. I need a shredder. Maybe neca will release one like this sdcc one?

I so wish 'The Predator' would've had a trailer by now, then we may have saw what NECA has for their 1st Ultimate figure from the film. It's supposedly the "main Predator "...

I’m confused about the tmnt diorama... is it a convention piece, is it part of the other offerings as a “build a figure” scenario, or will NECA be selling it on their site? I really want it, but not if it’s going to cost me $1000+ in junk.

It’s a stand alone set. Will be sold at retail. Completely modular. Still working on colors as plan isn’t to be TMNT specific. They are shooting for a price of $100 for the entire set.

My only gripe is with the faces. The battle-damaged one has loads of detail but isn’t really iconic. His evil mouth of daggers look is great, but not sure about the other two. The main one just looks grumpy, and the last one looks delirious. The image I have of Pennywise is that over the top happy grin. Even the image on the packaging would be good. It’s a minor gripe though, as it’s a great and unexpected figure. |
