Very glad NECA is re-issuing this one - as an Ultimate, no less! - as I missed it on the original run. And it looks awesome.

I have the first one and it's probably my favorite Predator figure. I don't really feel the need for an upgrade.

It's technically not a re-issue but anyway it is nice to see city hunter coming back to shelves. Now the wait for jungle hunter intensifies.

This figure looks amazing and I did miss out on the 1st city hunter, but I'm glad I kinda did because this figure looks like it's for the better articulation and accessories, I'm more excited for the jungle hunter though. I just rewatched the 1st predator movie and I'm even more excited than before. Hopefully I can find them at my local TRU, my TRU kinda sucks sometimes but they've been good lately with Neca stuff.

I checked the link and now I'm really curious. I use toysrus.com. That's t.toysrus.com. What's the difference? The layout is different, for one. Anything else?

I sent the link from my Kindle. The t.toysrus might be the mobile site. I did find the item on my PC by googling Neca Ultimate City Hunter and clicking on the shopping results. One of them is for Toys R Us. I don't have access to my PC at the moment, so I can't check if it takes you to toysrus or t.toysrus.

I got my City Hunter in the mail today. I was looking forward to this one for a while, so I cleared off a space on my shelf, opened the box...and was immediately disappointed to see it was missing both its shoulder cannon and armor on its right leg.
Seriously, Neca? The last thing I bought from them was my AvP Unmasked Scar and he was missing a hand. I'm seeing a lot of QC complaints about their most recent products. Well, I'm off to call Toys R Us about getting an exchange. I guess my shelf will sit empty for another week or two. Edit: I was wrong. The last Neca item I bought was Clubber Lang and I had to return him because of sloppy paint. Last edited by Villano; 01-28-2017 at 11:57 AM.. |

BTW, not sure about the shoulder cannon...I didn't look for it, but I also don't recall seeing it, either. But it could have just been retracted onto his back and out of sight. Went to the other TRU by me today and lucked out...they had just gotten in their shipment of City Hunters, so I had seven to choose from. Found one that was perfect.

I picked this one up yesterday. Complaints? One. The self destruct door broke off taking it out of the package. I have no clue how it attached in the first place but I can see a plastic stub where there was probably a peg or something...minor flaw as in a lot of the imagery of this particular Predator the door isn't even on the wrist and the computer screen is exposed.
I'm all good otherwise, had to hot water the right bicep to get it unstuck and man this thing is awesome. Did pull off a couple hours of poses and it hit me how bad I really want a Danny Glover figure! |

Finally got this bad boy open. It's perfect. Tight joints, no paint flaws, stuck joints, or quality control issues whatsoever...well, I'm having trouble getting the wrist blades in and out, but I'm fine with that. I might use a hair dryer later to loosen 'em up, but I actually like how they're extended at the moment. I noticed that the self destruct door IS rather delicate so I was VERY careful when taking the figure out of the package, and I had no problems. But yeah, watch that thing.
Side-by-side with the original 2-pack City Hunter, the paint scheme on the Ultimate is so much more vibrant and the added articulation makes all the difference. And I love the addition of the detachable net gun on his calf and the plasma flechette gun on his wrist (the thing he shot Danny Glover with after his plasma caster was destroyed). The plasma firing effect is fun, too (and doesn't weigh down the gun, either). I like the addition of the unmasked head, but I'm having him rock the bio-mask right now. Overall, awesome, awesome figure. Couldn't be happier, and totally worth the upgrade from the original. Just make sure you look through them all before you pick one, as there are QC issues going on with some of them. Oh, man...you and me both, brother. Sadly, it'll probably never happen. I finally received my replacement City Hunter. I took it out of the box and the panel door fell off. I put it back on, and it fell off moments later and I lost the little pin. Fortunately, Toys R Us still haven't sent me my return shipping label, so I still have my original Predator. I popped off the old Pred's arm and swapped it.
And then that's when I discovered that it was missing the retracted staff. So I took that from my old Pred, too. The hips are a little loose, but a few drops of floor wax in the joint should take care of that. Aside from the those problems, it's a beautiful looking figure. The body is a huge improvement over the old ones and the paint looks incredible. I'll definitely be getting the Jungle Hunter when that comes out. |

I recently got this guy from toys r us online and this is my second figure, the first one I bought his right arm fell off right out of the box, which I could've fixed with a little super glue, but he was also missing his plasma canon so I returned it to a store in town and got my money back and ordered a second one, this one was good, his hip joints were a little loose which I fixed with the super glue method and I have to say I am loving this guy, this Predator was always my favorite and his paint, accessories, articulation, detail...everything is just amazing. I have the other releases of this guy but I'm so glad I got him too, highly recommend him. I just really hope NECA gets their act together with their QC, they have so much potential.

A Danny Glover would be nice but I want King Willie! I think the detail on him would be amazing and he could come with his severed screaming head! Lol
