Haven't seen it yet but it sort of sounds like Black may have watched that Robot Chicken episode with the hippy predators protesting the hunting of defenseless humans... and then just sort of expanded on it.

Now THIS is what I want Neca to do, this looks nothing like that constant p1 body they keep using. The only reason why I am excited is that reason alone. I might even pick this one uup

So looks like we are getting the Pred on the left, an the right one has been confirmed to be coming.
https://twitter.com/NECA_TOYS/status...32663762276353 I'm down for both.

To be fair, the vast majority of predators outside of the movies are usually strictly confined to having the same basic appearance as those seen in the movies and the classic jungle hunter remains the most iconic so most predators are based around his look.

Speaking of appearances, I love how the creature designers took some risks with the typical Predator designs. The heads are unique on each of these Emissary Preds. One has a majorly pronounced, triangular ridge while the other has a double "crest" thing going on (the one we currently have a figure on).

I like the CGI render of the Emissary predator that was seen in the Predator "Who Would Win? featurette a whole lot better than the actual suits on set. I like how the armor and the camouflage pattern is darker and the mask is more silver further differentiating it from the fugitive Predator mask. I could definitely see myself buying multiples of this version if NECA released an Emissary Predator #3. The CGI render also looks more muscular which I prefer more than the leaner, lankier look we're getting on the figures. Last edited by AlanThCollector; 10-15-2018 at 05:32 AM.. |

What a goofy concept...though I can't deny, I like the colors and there is something about a Predator wearing spats that I find endearing.
He's going on the shelf with Ripley for sure. I'm gonna call him Al...or better yet Chip. Maybe Skip... |

Could Neca do any more concept figs from the movie? I'm talking about the hybrid preds. I think that they could be used in a Wey/you lab diorama. Just saying.

Watched this movie a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Even with all of the reviews and ALL of the comments I have read I was not prepared for how bad it was. This was Sharknado bad. It really could have been a SyFy network movie although I think they do higher quality stuff now. I think this is a cool concept just on the fact that concepts are cool, like Novelty cool or something. In reality it is really dumb. Not the figure, NECA killed it of course. The concept though. This is like taking a modern day soldier with modern gear. Send him back in time to the stone age and then the soldier throw all of his stuff in a tar pit to fight with rocks or sticks. I just This was really bad. Lucky for us we got some novelty stuff out of it for collection displays. Giant predator and... a barefoot predator in cammo with tiny pocket pouches FOR WHAT?! I mean this is so dumb. You are going to wear cammo for what? THEY HAVE INVISIBILITY CLOAKS!
Anyway it is different but I don't know if I will be able to make myself spend money on it because the concept is just pretty dumb. |

Someone on another board mentioned the idea of doing some repainting and giving him some colonial marines gear (pulse rifle, etc). I like that idea more than a predator in modern military fatigues.
The figure looks excellent...I just don't like the concept. |

READ AT YOUR OWN RISK: cant unsee this
Am I the only person that thinks that Predator head looks kinda like a giant v.... well.... does anybody else think that looks peculiar? I dont think any of the other predators had a "forehead" that looks like that. Arent they all smooth? Was it like that in the movie? Last edited by Bearjew; 02-07-2019 at 07:31 AM.. |

NECA's really pissing all over the so-called "Ultimate" moniker by using that to describe a figure that comes with only one gun and one alternate head. Geez.

This is why I wish they would go back to releasing standard releases with variants, because the at least you could choose the version of a character you wanted and if you were really hardcore about the character you could buy all the different variants. Ultimate figure used to be cool because it actually meant something. I’m not trying to be harsh, but now it seems as if NECA is just slapping “Ultimate” on anything indiscriminately that has an extra hand or a head. |

Any excuse to give us less for more, i agree. The emmissary is not an ultimate. Basic sure but not ultimate,
