I'm actually excited to see K-Tron and K2SO next to each other. Just for my own amusement. I really hope he's that shiny, but I wonder if that speaks to the type of plastic they'll use.

Is there something new concerning the Valerian and Laureline Figures from Neca???
On the official Neca Site they say, that they wanted to show Pictures in Mid May... now we have July. I really want to see how Dane DeHan and Cara look like as Action Figures from Neca. And i also hope, that other Companies try to make Valerian Action Figures.. Maybe ThreeZero or Bandai S.H. Figuarts. I really would like to own a Cara Delavigne Action Figure Iam also REALLY Disappointed that S.H. Figuarts did not make an Suicide Squad Enchantress Figure :-( |

I really want to know, did Neca Cancel the Valerian Figures?
It happened before with the Terminator Genisys Endoskeleton Figures. It became really silent concerning the Endoskeleton, and then i saw in another Thread they have been cancelled. Can someone ask Neca on Twitter concerning the Valerian Figures? I really want to know what is going on, Neca Official Site still says "Pictures of Valerian and Laureline available in Mid May" |

Figures look good for what they are. The head sculpts look pretty spot on, especially from the full-figure photos. I plan on seeing the film, but not sure I really have any interest in the figures. Movie is heading towards box office bust status & these won't be out until well after the movie is forgotten about. I think these needed to hit closer to the films release to have a real shot at catching on.

These figures look great...hopefully the final production/retail versions look as good as the painted prototypes pictured here.
And am I weird for thinking that Cara Delevigne somehow manages to be both ugly and totally hot at the same time? It's so weird. Quote:
NECA not having the figures out until September(!) all but guarantees that this figure line will crash and burn. Shame, as the figures really look good, but the release couldn't be less timely. |

The Valerian film looks like so much passion was put into it. I want it to do well, even though part of me thinks it will flop.
As for the figures. I really don't see it making it past series 1. If it does get a series 2 it will probably consist of battle damaged or helmeted versions of Valerian and Laureline and maybe one other new figure (which I would still definitely buy) and then it will end prematurely. The figures look great, but I feel the same way about this line as I did with the Apes line or if they could actually make Mad Max figures. Cool enough for me to get everything they release, but not cool enough to appeal to the masses in figure form. |

I have the Mego Taylor they released, but without the 7" scale one, the line would never feel right to me.

I would prefer if they used Laureline's pony tail look, but this still works for me. If they included helmets for these figures they could be great base bodies for custom army building a crew of space travelers or space police. |

I'd personally be up for Mad Max, but that's a line that will never happen. George Miller is against licensing the films for any toy releases.

That's why I think a Mad Max line would fail. A great property that you, me and several other collectors would buy in to, but just not popular enough to the masses to be as profitable as Alien and Predator. I'm curious to see how the Blade Runner 2049 figures do for this very reason. I''ll still bu them, but I'd be really surprised if the sales of those figure let it go past 2 or 3 series tops. |

like you the lack of a Taylor figure (and Nova in my opinion) was a missed opportunity and I'm sure many other collectors feel the same way, but at the end of the day I don't think it would have helped the line much. It just comes from a property that doesn't have many people clamoring for action figures.

hmmm Valerian himself looks pretty Screen Accurate, but Laureline does not.
Iam also excited how the Movie is, and how much Money it can gather. I would be VERY suprised if the Movie Flops, BECAUSE: Lucy Movie was total crap, and yet did not Flop, because enough People had Interest to see Movie. If "all" People can watch such a crap like "Lucy" then you can also go to Theater / Cinema and Watch Valerian Movie. I really want to see Dane DeHaan and Cara Delavigne Figures made from S.H. Figuarts or ThreeZero. Why is it so difficult to release a Cara Delavigne Figure? Almost Every Actor in Hollywood gets an "Mini Version" of their own either from ThreeZero or Bandai; All DC Heroes, all Marvel Heroes, even Game of Thrones Actors, Hell even Mister "No Sequel Guy" Will Smith got his own Dead Shot Suicide Squad Figure from Bandai. |

Not really feeling the head sculpts, but I never planned on buying any of the figures so my criticism is meaningless I guess.

Not bad, they would make good bases for custom Mass Effect figures too.

Yes. Posted here: Hot Toys Teases New Reveals for SDCC 2017 - The Toyark - News
Will buy them both, Hot Toys Prices will hit me Hard! Can not wait to see them both. I know that Hot Toys is very Screen Accurate. Can someone tell me more about Hot Toys Quality?? Did they increase their Quality over the Years? I bought a Resident Evil 5 Sheva Alomar Years ago, unfortunately the flexible Rubber they used for the Skin began to tear / getting Damaged on its own, on the Arm Bends, it seems it was not very Flexible at all. How about the Quality now?? Can someone report a little bit more Informations concerning Hot Toys Figures, especially Figures that show much Skin, for example Avengers Thor Figure? Is the Rubber / Skin Quality and Overall Quality good on recently Figures? |
