Is anyone picking up these titles? I like the flagship title alot and I do wonder where they are going to with the entire Sinestro thing. Is it short term or long term? Has anyone heard anything about it?
The New Guardians jumped out at me from issue one with all of the rings up to the appearance of Larfleeze. It should be good and quick paced too. I picked up these books and bamm I am done. I like the flow and the way it moves. Green Lantern Corp..... hmmmm I liked the characters but I am not sure if I like the ride so far. It was nice seeing Martian Manhunter in the last issue but I didn't like the way Guy didn't know him. That so messes with continuity. I am going to follow this story to the end and I am hoping the next one feels less as if what written someone desperate for details. Maybe they could have gotten to the point quicker than they did or maybe they needed the extra space. I hope the next bit is better than this. I do wonder what happened to Yodam Sot. I was under the impression that they wanted to tell that story soon. Red Lanterns, I was not sure what to think of it so I jumped on for a ride. I have decided that beyond Dex-Star I don't car for any of them and I have dropped the series, I am not much on villain books anyway. Sometimes they feel to over the top or have the feeling they just have to be bad to be cool. |

Only read the first 4 issues of Green Lantern so far. From what I have seen that's to come, it looks like Sinestro may be around a lot longer than I thought. Maybe even teaming with Jordan indefinitely if not for at least the second trade.

Just read GL #5. I enjoyed it and the damn oompa loompas (I refuse to call them Guardians, its the Deadpool in me, lol) just keep getting more evil and drunk with power the more I see them. I really hope Sinestro remains the primary focus of this book for longer. He's got so much more depth than Hal.
Best quote of the issue: Jordan- "you can't break the ring." Sinestro- "you can if you push it hard enough. I've done it. Twice."

I am hoping to get it tomorrow, My wife said she will spot me a few bucks but I am not sure how much. If it more than twenty I am most likely getting on of my back issues, less this book comes home with me.
Of course last time she gave me 50 bucks so there is a chance I get my cake and eat it too. |
