I left the crossbones in my target. I recently returned one because it sat on my shelf and no one needed it. :x

No rush. Another 2 months before it reaches Canada I bet, and I won't even buy them at the 9.99 price tag. Wait for clearance and be happy with what I can get, if any.

I'll try to get out and check mine soon. I doubt I'll get anything though, I've yet to find a single store around here that gets wave II of anything but new Star Wars lines.

Got back from Target today with the Captain America & Winter Soldier Target exclusive two-pack (also picked up a power charge Rhino from the Spider-Man line on sale). The Targets I hit had lots of exclusive two-packs (both), the concept series with cosmic cube Red Skull, and plenty of figures.
This is, in my opinion, the best Cap yet in the 3.75 scale BUT there is still lots of room for improvement. I hate Ultimate Cap. The Caps in the Klaw and Wolverine two-packs have tiny heads. This Cap looks to be a repaint, with better apps, of the heavy artillery Cap which is a disappointment due to poor articulation. I don't know why it is so hard for Hasbro to give us a classic Cap (winged cowl, swashbuckler boots) that actually has decent articulation. Cap is a pretty agile fellow and I'd like to pose him punching and kicking and shield slinging against goons. Oh well, new figures for Daredevil, Punisher, and the Hulk (all in classic costumes) gives me hope they'll make a proper Cap someday. Last edited by Torpedo; 08-01-2011 at 09:02 PM.. |

If anyone isn't finding this stuff at their Target, make sure you walk about five aisles down from the TF/Marvel figure aisle and check the end Cap (by the baby blocks and shit). The set up is is usually in front of electronics. I probably didn't notice it a few times I was there because I usually don't check out the baby toys and dolls aisle, which is where these fools put the display.

Picked up two Hydra soldiers Monday- gotta say, aside from the wak knees from that crappy SDCC Cap they're molded from, the Hydra soldiers are some of the best from this line- they have great detail, the ones at my Target alll had good paint apps and they even have wrist swivels!
Why did they cheap out on Cap's articulation but give it to the Hydra goons? The guns- they needed the swivel to hold those (nicely detailed) guns! A couple of weeks back, I bought the "comic colors" variant soldier from a comic shop and, after I did the "super glue trick" on their knees to tighten them up, I really like him- he looks great as an officer among the MU three-pack Hydra soldiers (I have six of those). But...it's odd...the standard sodier is much better than the variant. The standard version has this ammo bely thingie running down his right arm- which is omitted in the variant. Also, the variant lacks the Hydra symbol patch of the left arm (though thte space is molded on) and the Standard soldier has a nice black harness which matches the boots (both are nicely detailed with little "H" buckles on them). The variant's harness is brown (but I might paint it yellow). Paint apps on the guns is changed on the variant as well- nicely detailed green is added to the guns' handles but the barrel itself lacks the light blue paint of the normal soldier's gun- I painted both barrels black anyway- light blue looks silly there. Going back tomowwow- might get another soldier to repaint into a variant with additional details. Speaking of soldiers, Target has been really putting out the revision cases! I bought an extra Wrecker, hosed him in yellow paint and swapped his head for a spare AIM goon head I had and viola! Big tank AIM soldier! Gotta gind him a guge gun for him...maybe repaint a Hydra soldier weapon. An easy conversion if ou're in the mood- and it really spices up the AIM gang to have a different body type in there. Still no new MU wave anywhere in South Forida I've looked though! |

I wouldn't mind getting one of those clear Dr. Strange figures. I dig clear figures. I have the normal one preordered for at BBTS for a custom.
At least I think I do... Better check on that. |
