I have this thing about TV series being more than 8 seasons, but I think 5 seasons is enough for most action shows. The Walking Dead has overstayed its welcome as have comedy shows like Archer, The Simpsons, and Big Bang Theory. Highlander knew to end at 6 seasons as did Breaking Bad.

New shows take its place. Better Call Saul has replaced Breaking Bad. Supergirl is a fine replacement for Arrow. And its not like Ollie can't appear in Flash still. Agents of Shield needs to end and they can replace it with a new MCU series (and hopefully one that doesn't suck). Moonbeam City is a fine substitute for Archer.

Supernatural is another show that has over stayed its welcome. In fact, that show had no business being more than 5 seasons long.

The acting isn't the best? I don't think you have watched Better Call Saul because it has some of the best acting on television period. Not to mention some of the best cinematography of any show currently airing.
Supergirl is not even close to being male sexist. Did you watch anything beyond the firt 2 or 3 episodes? And critically panned? One negative review of the pilot does not count for the whole series. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/supergirl Arrow has 96% just like Supergirl does. Legends of Tomorrow has a 59%. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/dc...ds_of_tomorrow Oh, and Supernatural has a 91%, which is also less than Supergirl. Of course, a 91% doesn't make it a good show. Check your facts before you Wiki something.

IMDB's reviews are about as valid as the comments section on Youtube. Any idiot, troll, and retard can post a review on there, and as such, the scores are always going to look bad. Hell, people will put a review up for 5 episodes, but the score reflects the entire series, not those five specific episodes.
Just because you don't think it is a good show doesn't make it so. The writing is not always the best, but it's on par with the comic books, and that makes it good enough for me. I'm not going into a comic book based show/movie expecting Shakespear, I just want something that feels like the comics, and that is what I get with Supergirl. She is far more accurate to the source material than Zack Snyder's trash.

I did see BvsS at the first showing on opening day so I could get the $5 ticket price. Like Ghostbusters, I don't regret seeing it, but it's not something I would ever go out of my way to ever watch again.
I'm excited for the new seasons of Flash and Supergirl. I'm hoping they do fix the issues with season 2 that I had with seaosn 1 (Superman being one of the biggest ones). I couldn't give two shits about Legends, but I'll give it through the crossover to win me back. As for Arrow, they have a lot of damage control for me, but I'll stick through this season and pray they actually make the show fun and entertaining. Enough with the mopey depressed Nolan copy cat, give me a super hero!!

I'm going to end up watching all the Arrowverse shows this season, but i do agree with you on arrow last season was a huge let down it seems like ever sense the Deathstroke season it has been slowly but surely going down hill. The are supposed to add Wild Dog into arrow which might be A good idea.

Some of it has to do with WB being dicks. Deathstroke was supposed to appear in Season 4 for a large arc, but WB told them they couldn't use him anymore, but they didn't tell them this until they were getting ready to start shooting. The same thing happened in Season 3 with the Suicide Squad as they planned to have the second half of the third season feature the SS only to be told they couldn't use them anymore because of the movie.

WB thinks it would confuse the audience to have someone in both mediums. Unless it's Batman because Batman is the exception to every WB/DC bs ruled.

Yeah your right because I remember that Harley Quinn's voice was in an episode of Arrow at the beginning of season 3. Well that sucks so they can't use Suicide Squad in the show even after the movie comes out? So is Deathstroke ever coming back to arrow or is he done with the show? I don't see why they can't have them on tv and in the movies it's not like the Tv shows and the movies are connected if they have to choose between the shows or the mediocre movies they should choose the shows and give up on those movies because they cast the worst people in their movies.

Sorry guys. I'm just going to go off on a bit of a frustrated rant, here. Kinda repeating from another thread, but the topic belongs here, too.
I love DC Collectibles TV based figures, and have been eagerly awaiting the Black Canary and Reverse Flash figures from "Arrow" and "The Flash", respectively. However, THOSE figures were due out in February of 2016...and have been rescheduled several times. I was finally looking forward to them coming out next week, when diamond released their most recent shipping update...the figures are NOW rescheduled for release on 08/31/16...more than 6 months later than their originally solicited release date. And now, more than 6 months behind on their previous batch of figures, they decide to announce 8 more figures based on Flash, Arrow, Legends, and Supergirl? What a joke. The batch in this article, solicited for February of 2017, will be lucky to be released in 2017 at all. As for the rest, slated for May of 2017? I doubt those will ever see release. I love DC's TV properties, and seriously want the Reverse Flash, Zoom, Black Canary, Supergirl, and Martian Manhunter figures, among others. But they seriously need to get on the ball regarding releases that are already a half year behind schedule before committing to more. |
