BBTS loaded up pre-orders from tomorrow's solicitations. If more new items are revealed via Diamond Previews, we'll update with those.

That new Tron line is great! They appear to have more screen sccurate sculpted detail to the costumes than the cartoony Kingdom Hearts figures DST offered awhile back. And these comes with a Recognizer you build? Wow! Can't wait to see how big that thing is. Now we just need a light cycle in that scale, which would probably be the build-a-thing for a 2nd wave if they ever do one. Personally I'd prefer DST offer a light cycle as a separate release in 3 different colors. Better way to get the most out of a single tooling. I'd buy all 3 if they offered red, blue, and yellow cycles. And if these sell well enough to warrant a 2nd wave of figures, I'd hope it consists of Yori, Crom, and Ram. Or maybe a real world Flynn (with a scaled Tron arcade machine!)

I was surprised a Light Cycle wasn't their first choice. But I am psyched these have finally been revealed.

I'm just worried about DST's history of so often having a one-and-done wave of figures for a new line they start (X-Files being one that really annoyed me), or doing 3 or 4 waves with odd character choices and failing to do the rest of the important characters before finishing the line (Gotham, Star Trek). In the case of Tron, they really could cover almost everything in just TWO waves plus a lightcycle, like I listed off in my previous post above, so I really hope this trio of figures isn't all we ever get.

I just realized that Flynn is in his red infiltrator colors, which is another odd choice for the first wave -- they probably did a red Flynn first to go with the red Recognizer vehicle. I wonder if we'll get a regular blue version at some point since it's a simple repaint (maybe as an exclusive?).

It's great to see the '82 movie getting some love (2 different sets of figures within a years time). I hope Diamond corrects the misstep from the previous figures and has these guys with back mounted disc accessories.

I assume they would. Just from the blurry pics above, you can already see these have more realistic detail sculpted to them (look at the boots) compared to the Kingdom Hearts versions.

The description also lists discs and effects pieces as accessories for the figures. So, fingers crossed.

Would alternate hands count as effects pieces? The hands in that pic don't like they'd be able to grip the discs very well.
And yeah Flynn in red is kind of an odd choice cause that would be something that would make a lot more sense as an exclusive. And since they have a Jeff Bridges sculpt, I guess Clu could be likely at some point.

Yeah if they have Bridges' likeness rights, I again say it would be great to get a real world Flynn figure too with a Tron arcade cabinet to scale with him. That would make a great SDCC exclusive IMO.

Those Tron Select figures look great! Kinda neat that they made a red Flynn instead of the normal blue Flynn too. I also predict no one will buy Sark. LOL. I wonder what kind of accessories they will come with... I mean besides the Identity Disc of course.

Those Tron Figures have piqued my interest. Is it $75 for the three of them or $75 per figure?

^ It says $75 for the wave, so I guess $25 for each one like normal like how the Marvel Select figures are always $25 pretty much everywhere.

This! You summed up just about my exact feelings

Just when I was about to get off the DST bandwagon... I did not see these coming but am SO excited now

Removable discs as accessories? Check!
Effect pieces and buildable Recognizer vehicle pieces? Very cool extras for me!

Dare I hope a future series will dwell into TRON: Legacy?

Wow. My all-time toy grails keep getting checked off one by one over the recent years:

- A whole line of Aliens figures? Check. (NECA)

- Same for Predator? Check. (NECA)

- TMNT 1990 movie figures in 7-inch scale? Check! (NECA)

- Star Wars in 1/12 scale? Check. (Hasbro + Bandai + Figuarts)

- Marvel and DC superheroes in 1/12 scale? Check and check (Hasbro + Figuarts + MAFEX)

- TRON figures? Getting there! (DST)

All I'd need now (besides more space) are:

- Original "V" 6 or 7-inch scale figures

- '80 cartoon Dungeons & Dragons 1/12 scale figures

Yeah I'm continually amazed that Hasbro is neglecting a big money maker by not resurrecting the 80s cartoon versions of GI Joe as a 6" Black Series style line of figures. I'd be all over that. They could easily cover all the best characters in around 30 figures over the span of 2-3 years. Yet instead they've allowed one of their all time biggest toy brands to flounder in the last few years due to poor reception of the last GI Joe film.

I would have thought Flynn in blue, Yori and Ram - that way they get to repaint one as a cost saving. I'm excited to see how these pan out. Any idea when they're supposed to hit?

If there's a wave 2, I hope Diamond make the MCP as a build a diorama.
