Despite a sick thunderstorm, my buddy and I searched all over for the new Gigantic Battles figures.... and guess what? We found them! I personally bought two Frost Giant/Loki sets, and one Ben Foster/Ragnarok set. He picked up one of each. I uploaded a couple quick pictures, but if you want to see some better quality ones let me know. By the way, this is my contribution as a board member to let you fellow nerds know that these have officially arrived, so go get them! Sincerely, -Chris

They were about $24.96 each and I found them in three separate Wal-Marts in the St. Louis area. At one of the stores my buddy and I asked them to open a box marked "Hasbro Gigantic Battles" that was sitting out with a ton of other boxes to be stocked, because it was obviously what we were looking for. Each store had one of each figure per store here.
It is a Wal-Mart only figure so they don't have those Target DPCI numbers you asked for, but here is a picture of the UPC codes for them. I hope this helps. Last edited by DogFashionDisco; 04-11-2011 at 11:48 AM.. |

Cool!
I'm seriously considering trading my blue & yellow Goliath for this Goliath since I like my Pym to be Giant Man. |

Looks like they're trickling in. After 5 WalMarts here in Atlanta, I finally found the price tag on the shelf and had a manager run it and he said they'd be getting 4 cases (2 per?) on 4/28. I know where I'll be on that day!

I called around to several Walmart's today and had them to run the UPC's, and was told that they are pending arrival any day now.

I found these at Walmart today! They had three of each so I snagged one Goliath/Thor and two Loki/Frost Giant packs. I am just blown away by how awesome Loki looks.

Just checked. My Walmart still hasn't stocked them. But the stickers for them have been on the shelf for almost 3 weeks.

Oh heck yes!!! The search is OVER! At the 8th (and in my opinion FINAL) WalMart in the Atlanta-Metro area, there they were. Saw the price on the shelf...a kid in electronics ran the scan for me, said he had two. Nothing on the shelf. He disappears into the warehouse and BOOM comes out with one of each! The kid was laughing at how freakin excited a 35 year old guy was getting over some action figures but we had some laffs.
So props to that kid for going the extra mile, and NO eBay scalpers for once! (Even though I think the amount I spent on gas may have been equal to...) |

I seen the price tag for them almost 2 weeks ago. I asked the lady at the wal-mart about them and she said they hadn't been in yet and were "on order". I checked the same store every day for 2 weeks. TODAY I became a winner! Got 2 of each. So just keep looking!

To anyone who opened black goliath, can his hops actually move well? Giant man's hips were a pain in the ass to move!

Yesterday in Cincinnati Ohio I picked 1 of each which was all they had at one of the walmarts by me. Another one by my house had tags but had about 20 halo vehicles all over the bottom shelf where the tag was. Also does anyone know if there is a variant in these sets like with Goliath before?
