I'll buy Taarna if the articulation is decent and the "action feature" is just a joke. I swear to god though, if ANY of these have some stupid lever arm or leg squeezing bullshit I won't buy a single one of them. I hated that stuff as a kid.

if they took out this franchise, they should take out Fire & Ice figs especially Dark Wolf in 6" inches, instant buy. A Dark Wolf fig would be awesome!

Who are you??? I thought I was one of like 18 humans aware of that Bakshi/Franzetta masterpiece...not super related to Heavy Metal, but totally in near proximity.

Definitely have to co-sign this, huge Fire & Ice fan -- I really wish there would be a Sword & Sorcery line of figures with Dark Wolf, Death Stalker, Beast Master, Death Dealer, etc.
Solid POA though, not like those Death Dealer bricks released recently. |

I've got the limited edition Fire and Ice collectors HD DVD, bastiches! Comes with a 'making of' docu about Franzetta and Bakshi's partnership...not that big of a deal, but I was very happy to have tracked it down.

Frazetta c'mon you guys lol
10 years ago I had ordered a print of the Fire & Ice movie poster from the Frazetta website. Unbeknownst to me, there was an issue with the order. So one day randomly out of nowhere, the phone rings and I see on the caller ID Frank Frazetta and I freak out for about 2 seconds but, it was his daughter in-law calling about the order. That's my Fire & Ice story other than seeing some of the original pencil artwork from the beginning of the movie at the museum a few years back. In this day and age I'm surprised no one has put out any figures. I know Mezco had announced a Frazetta license a few years back but, nothing ever came of that it seems. Might've just been for Death Dealer anyway. |

^Lol whoops! Smacks forehead...I always do that too...
I'm also surprised there haven't been figures. However, this thread may function as a catalyst for some kickstarter project... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 03-24-2019 at 05:48 AM.. |

Yeah, no worries..me and my friends are always giving each other shit over mispronouncing artists names.
Do you remember some company tried to make a line of Frazetta figures about 20 years ago? They were billed as action figures but they were just cheap looking plastic statues in the 6 inch scale. They even tried to branch out with a Simon Bisley figure but I don't think there was much interest in them cause they were so poorly done. |

They were sold encased in cylindrical plastic packaging. There were a bunch of them and they were pretty crappy, but if you didn't have the dough for high end statues, they were a cheap alternative. They still show up from time to time at comic stores around me. Mezco did release a press statement that they'd be doing some Death Dealer stuff. I vaguely remember commenting on it...I wonder what happened with that. I know the staff here consists of just Tony and Joe, but I wish there was a bit more follow up on shit that falls through the cracks. ...if only I was given a dollar for every time I was called a bastard! https://www.amazon.com/Fire-Two-Disc.../dp/B000A2LV4W There's seven left! Get yours...especially before 7 of the other 18 do! HAha! Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 03-24-2019 at 11:35 AM.. |

Let me correct myself, I like Heavy Metal and Frazetta. I just don't like more-expensive-than-they-should be figures with poor or static articulation. Mini statues are ok but at least put them in poses.

Isn't Taarna supposed to be fair skinned? Take a look at the pre-order images at BBTS, and then compare with this:

Good point. And judging by the relaxed hands, she won't be able to grip her sword, but who cares?

I'll wait until they get a prototype done to say whether she can hold the sword or not. I'm holding off pre-ordering until I see what's actually in store. The Bill and Ted didn't do much for me, but these two I'd definitely want.

I pre-ordered Taarna, but will cancel if I don't like the actual prototype.

Will post this up on the front page a little later. But Incendium sent this pic over showing the articulation.
