I prefer the clean version because of the bright white, however this release does look better in these images than the initial ones we had a while back.

The only Hikaru I have is the old VF-1S from Bandai sans all accessories and stickers. I still haven't made up my mind what 1/48 Hikaru I want. If the price is right I might buy this one.

Still want a Miriya too but that's much further down the road.

This is actually one of the new 1/60's. I hope that when it is released, that the shoulder hinges are truly fixed.

Whoops. I thought this was a 1/48. Tired reading FTL.

I'm gonna stick to 1/48's as much as possible since I love the size.

They are pretty cool. The size is great, biggest VF-1 toys yet, and the price isn't bad. It seems like Yamato is keeping up production because the love for that scale VF-1 has not died over, which is good. Most durable(because the new 1/60 has fragile hinges), and still the most detailed VF-1 toy ever made.

I'd go on to say that it's the ultimate VF-1 toy, but since the new 1/60 has some features that are better, it's a very tough call.

What are the new features on the 1/60?
