I am in LOVE with that Kingpin. For me, I need his head REALLY small and tiny feet. I don't care too much about articulation on him, I mean how dynamic of a pose does he need. I plan in (and by planning, I really mean never get around to it) to take out about 3/4" of an inch or so of his legs just above the ankle. There is almost a perfect line already.

Best Punisher as far as I know.
One Per Case: Review: Marvel Universe Series 4 #13 – Punisher Think he might be a bit pricey these days though. Haven't checked in a while. |

It was the opposite for me but I could probably say that for about 90% of MU figures.

I was JUST looking at him on eBay tonight. I think he was about ÂŁ15-ÂŁ20. I will haggle a bit though, but I see him semi-often...at least I think I have seen him a bunch. Just kinda put him off because I know I will have to buy the A-Team van and most likely the Spawn Alley playset to go with him.
Didn't have a "place" for him anyway. Now though, with the new room coming slowly along, I have a bit of wall space for little mini diorama displays. Like a tiny little "floating" shelf with just Punisher, his van and a little background image...bam, Punisher shelf sorted. No need to mix in or find a team. I am liking the idea of the mini diorama displays everywhere. Punisher next to X-Men next to Cosmic next to Knights...and it all make sense and look like little world's unto themselves. Well, that's the idea anyway.... we will see how they turn out. All that aside, sorted, that is my new Punisher. My son has wanted one for ages.

Hate posting via phone....my original post got eaten so in brief, the scale on 5-6 inch figures is way too large for most characters for me. Only that destroyer would work imo. The ml juggy is enormous compared to mu figures...in a bad way.

I can't do the big figures either. A tall character can only be a bit taller to me. That Kingpin DOES work however, you can't stand them next to each other. I put him up in the playset away from he rest and he looks amazing. When side by side the larger scale is instantly recognizable. If you move them around a bit and "fudge" it, maybe in a hole or other figures up on something then he works perfectly.

Like this.... I am gonna cut him down an inch or so this weekend. Head is in scale and the body looks like it should for old school. If there was something better, I would get it. The customs look like a super muscular dude with a TIGHT jacket and a giant head. Hoping making him shorter does the trick....

Ebay have some good foam boards in good sizes but i want the wall to be thick so going to use insualtion foam board from B&Q quite cheap and comes in 2 thicknesses and 2 sizes.
Ive used the laminated for 1 or 2 things. Its good for dios that need a snand up back ground and not much detailing. have you seen those 40K citadel sets that gamesworkshop have, pricey as hell but ideal for 3.75" dios.ukmu would love these for his hydra/doom dios. |
