getting back to you about your previous reply,i asked because you said a few pages back that you get customs done from guys who wouldnt normally do 3.75" customs.many of us in here use legends in our set ups and actually think its a cool line, but trying to form an opinion on popularity based on viewing numbers in here doesnt gauge anything, for numerous reasons.
perhaps it would be better to take to twitter, instagram, facebook, youtube and do polls to see which is the more popular line seeing as a vast majority of collectors can be found on these.but nycc 2017 is as good a chance as any for local arkers to fire some hardline questions about our line in stall and co,s direction!show these guys the fanbase is actually there instead of having the panels highjacked by the legends community. I have some legends figures in my display as well, because there are a decent amount of legends figures that fit in nicely with the MU line. I said I got one person, that doesn't normally work in 4 inch scale, to make some stuff for me. What does that have to do with anything? Legends is an alright toy line, to me personally they have alot of features that suck, the ab cruch on the majority of male figures is first and foremost. As I said before, Facebook, twiter, instagram are not great places to get market research from, because there is alot of weird shit going on at those platforms, bots, fake accounts, whatever. As I stated already, on the forums, there is really none of that shit going on, the data is as close as you can come to having pure, unbiased data. The only people on the forums are people interested in toys and talking about toys, all the fake bullshit would quickly get routed out if for some reason they started trying to post shit here. but they're all to busy screwing around on the major social media platforms to bother with the little toy forums. Quote:
How does the hits or views here, not gauge anything? What are your reasons, all of them because you say there are numerous, for that? I know for a fact that there are people collecting 6 inch right now that are only collecting 6 inch because they fucked 4 inch over, and given the choice they would rather collect 4 inch. And personally I don't care what people collect, if you like 6 inch collect 6 inch, if you like 4 inch collect 4 inch, if you like both, collect both. But again, you can't even use the current sales of 4 inch vs 6 inch because not only is there less 4 inch product available, but that product that is available sucks. What I have asserted, and continue to assert, is that THERE IS MORE INTEREST IN 4 INCH FIGURES, that interest is gauged by the amount of views that a given thread gets, and the amount of people viewing a thread at a given time. And the fact that there is basically no 4 inch product on the shelves as compared to the amount of 6 inch product on the shelves currently and for the last couple of years, and yet there are still more people viewing whats going on in the 4 inch further defends the assertion.

I think those things are showing up at the discount stores for 5 bucks, so the Amazon sellers are probably buying that stuff up and trying to shill them for more money.

By the way, As I type this, there are 30 people viewing this thread, VS just 9 (8 really because one of those people was me, so I could see the number) viewing the 6 inch thread.
Continuing to affirm my assertion, that there is MORE interest in 4 inch marvel figures than there is in 6 inch. there are however 26 non registered guests viewing this thread at the moment, so please, if you are out there, viewing this thread, and not signed up, SIGN UP Put your interest for the 4 inch marvel figures down on paper(here in the forum, not actual paper), We're dying here. We need more people talking about these figures, and you sitting out there on the sidelines doesn't help CCC. |

A less edited shot of my Marvel Universe Dazzler on her display base
This shot highlights the sparkley effect that her jumpsuit has a little better, but it's hard to photograph properly

Holy shit you guys have been busy since my last checkin. And argumentative! lol
I'm not about to go back thru 20 pages quoting pics or anything, but the customs from everyone have been great to see. Love the creativity. Some I'll for sure get back to when I have more time for that sort of thing. LordMudd, for the love of god, man, buy a cheapy digicam so we can really see the stuff you post. If I get a new one any time soon I'm going to send you my current one for free! lol Welcome to the new folks. If you make customs post em up! Nice to see the influx of new people and the 'old' new people being so active. That's why I chose to post here and let other boards go. This place is active even if MU via Hasbro may not be. For my own stuff, about halfway through the current batch. There's a shit ton of sculpting I'm going to have to do just on the ones that are ready and I'm dragging my feet. Sculpting sucks but I need to wrap up the first half so I can start on the rest. Also had to send back a figure and wait for a replacement as it came with two of the same lower leg instead of one of each. Hasbro QC at work. And working on the first custom that will actually be leaving my hands - eventually - for a poster on here (he can speak up if he wants, up to him) so that's adding time because that custom is going to be a bitch to finish. Well, those customs, I'm making two of them since I need the character too. Um...what else? D Day, do your thing man. I for one enjoy the pics. Pilk, I owe you a PM, I'll get to that in a bit. Now that I replaced the body definitely need those heads. They're both for the same custom. I'll send a preview pic to you first once it's done or close to done. Oh, the scale convo, always been a 3.75 guy and always will be. Said it before but don't care what Hasbro makes now or in the future. Outside of fodder they haven't don't anything that's been genuinely impressive in many years. |

Oh yeah, when I remember I take pics of work in progress figs and sculpt work, things like that. I never post them because I don't like posting WIP pics. No reason, just never saw the point. But, I was wondering if anyone was interested in seeing things like that. I still wouldn't post them here, but I'd upload the pics to the photo site I switched to (flikr) when Photobucket went full retard. If there's enough interest I'll make a new album for that that people can peruse at their leisure.

Oh, almost forgot, En Sabah Nut, that Midnight Son's dio pic from a couple weeks ago was a thing of beauty! Absolutely stellar photog work on that one.
Alright, gotta run. I'll get back to some of the other posts I wanted to comment on later tonight (if I have time) or next time I hit the boards. |

S.O.S....S.O.S! Guardians or the Nova corpse, We have trouble on our hands! In all his glory and leader of the Chitari, TITUS!!! Took me 2 days to make this guy. It was fun as usual. As you can see I carved out a Beast mouth and replaced the teeth with a dollar store tigers teeth for a more ferocious look. Gun arm and Shoulder pads from Colossus, Gold around neck is painters tape. Since I don't sculpt, painters tape works wonders for me. Belt stolen from Nova. Body from Omega Red. Custom retractable robotic eye. I'm not the best painter, but I hope you guys enjoy my Creations.... Critiques are welcome.
Back to the Laboratory CREATOR OUT!! About to make a KID NOVA to accompany TITUS using a Marvel Infinite Spiderman. Cool poses D Day....CREATOR OUT!!!! |

Jackieboy; I'm glad you're enjoying your Legends and its community. Must be really exciting; so exciting in fact, that you're always here trying to tell us how we need to be a better community. But we appreciate you taking time to come over and fix our community since we're so clearly the problem with it.
