And remember....the figures just mainly "broke even" for Hasbro in the Joe line. It was the vehicles that were the profit and driving force.

A little late to the show, but I always enjoy your pics Kylactus. Also, noticed in your pics all those samurai swords... Wow. Great room too, any panic room with a BAF Fin Fang Foom is a good panic room.

Ross. That display does look very nice indeed. I wanted something like that originally. Once I saw a whole room shelved out like that and it looked excellent. But as collecting progressed, I realised I would need more space for vehicles, larger figs etc. Good luck with not expanding, I think everyone on here thought they could keep it small and simple... it’s an addiction my friend. As far as the glass goes, you would probably be better off getting one big piece custom cut, drilling small holes in each corner, then screwing into the shelves. Probably wouldn’t cost a fortune. And only 4 screws to take out to access the figures again.
Derstalhelm. Lovely mockingbird, must of been a nightmare getting the white right over black. Kylactus. Really nice work on those customs. And that collection, is, just, wow! I have tried my hardest, and will continue to stay away from 6” stuff that doesn’t scale with MU. I know I will be just as bad as everyone else if I “just get (insert character/team here) and that will be me done”. It will never never be done. Haha Pilkster. Yes, can defo vouch for him. Lordmudd. 113 now?!?!? Excellent, nice addition. Mufan. Nothing major, superglue incidents, cuts, oh, I half drilled through my finger once as well, that wasn’t nice. Very cool take on venom, I like it. I will mirror the general feeling about any new reveals... hopeful, but won’t be surprised or disappointed if we see nothing, for a long long time. Keep on with the customs/tweaks/other lines to supplement for now! |

I think that one of his jerkiest moves was introducing big Legends-sized absolutely unnecessary motorcycle for Black Widow after years upon years of saying that he really wanted but could not fathom any possible way how to introduce vehicles for 3.75 inch line, not even for Ghost Rider...

As I detailed in my thread http://www.toyark.com/how-re-launch-...t-fail-178238/ 3.75" is ALL about the vehicles. SO much money is lost when Hasbro couldn't figure out how to do comic vehicles after MU launched. |

Now I will admit marvel characters aren’t really as vehicle centric as say, Batman. That said, they could still do ghost riders bikes, Robby’s GR car, the punisher van, the blackbird ( or x-jet), Hawkeyes sky cycle, the fantasticar, the spider buggy, hell, I’d settle for thanos’s helicopter! I wish they did play sets, not the cheep crap towers of garbage with a spider web of zip lines like TMNT has, but I’d settle for shoe box sized dios of kee scenes, like danger room, cerbrio, a punisher hide out, a wall hanging building facade with ledges, and fire escapes... god damn Dwight turn your freakin imagination on ass hat. Best he can do is a giant foam glove with some figs packed in I guess.

There are peep holes in the bookcase too so I can open the steel door and see the room from behind it... creepy but fun. My wife’s niece dosent know about the room so when she comes to visit I like to hide in it and make her think the place is haunted... it makes me laugh.

Legit forgot that this went up today, but eh, it relates enough. Do excuse the opening segment, though. The ones in videos made afterwards are way better.

Toybiz's Marvel Legends Showdown series even had Ghost Rider's cycle before MU debuted. i suspect the cinematic universe stole the classic universe's thunder with Hasbro bringing in 'movie related' vehicles that were unrelated on various levels. The quinjet was nice imo while the helicarrier was ambitious it fell short on scale and fun. While Cap's cycle and Ant-man's Antony were late entries and far from enough to keep many fans at that point. |

Have you forgotten the “death” of legends a few years ago? You wanna talk about a bunch of whiny “arses”. I ain’t gonna talk shit about legends, they are really kickin ass, improved articulation, paint, and awesome characters selection, plus BAFs and now vehicle sets, meanwhile we got cut back from downgrades, to repaints to nothing... 375 scale could be awesome if they put a little effort into it. Maybe instead of a 12” line that nobody buys until they go on clearance, or a bunch of 5poa lines of various sizes that peg warm until they go to big lots, and peg warm there for another six months, (shit, I wouldn’t dumpster dive for some of that crap.) they could make a concerted effort, like in the Vonner days, and bring back the scale that saved there companies sorry ass from closeting the doors on more than one occasion! Don’t worry though, legends is heading for a hard burn out soon. Trust me I see it coming... too much product being dumped too fast, I have most of the legends produced in the last two years, and I didn’t pay retail for any of them.... bad sign 6 inch boys, bad sign...

Possible SPOILER ...not sure (scroll down)
the new Thor hammer, Stormbreaker...it is made with Groot limbs as well. Totally has the wrapped vines and leaves even for a handle. Also, Thor doesn't have his eye patch on in the box pic. Maybe it gets healed by Dr. Strange or goes back in time via an Infinity Stone maybe? I am sure pics will be released next week at Toy Fair here on ToyArk. There are leaked pics of the role play toy hammer floating around on insta and it looks cool. The toy is cheap but the concept is the cool part. ................spoiler free below................... Watched Ragnarok about a hundred times the past couple of weeks for free on ShowBox (greatest app ever) Love all the little Easter eggs in the rubbish pile scenes on Sacar. I too have been reading a lot of the 6" train losing a lot of speed over the past year. Hasbro to compensate adds more product to already flooded markets. It will be its doom. Same as the cinematic line over saturation eventually doomed our line. Action figure sales are down 35% for the big H. That is even with the amazing Marvel stuff they are cramming, a new Star Wars line and within the year an in-house Transformers film. With Toys R Us all but dead it is a matter of time before the ball explodes.

The legends hiatus was 10 years ago but your forgetting that its core base actually did something about it.but the only legit real complaint I see about them today is the fact Hasbro is firing the waves out like no tomorrow all toy stores in my city have dropped 3:75 but legends ARE selling here at least.bro come on even lord marvel has switched!

i agree. Vehicles and playsets are where the scale shines. There was a huge missed opportunity there.

The quinjet was nice imo while the helicarrier was ambitious it fell short on scale and fun. While Cap's cycle and Ant-man's Antony were late entries and far from enough to keep many fans at that point. And I should have mentioned Anthony, a late-to-the-party steed that you can't play with else he falls apart. But its nice to have him. |
