Yes, but the sculpt just doesn’t translate as well in 1:18.The smaller you go the the softer fine details become, and mistakes, like paint being off, are far more noticeable, and it makes it harder to get a perfect representation. Show me one 3.75 figure of a real human that looks anywhere as good as its 6” counterpart from the last 2 years... for that matter show me one 6” figure that looks as good as a hot Toys 12” figure. The smaller you go, the more detail you loose, it’s just a fact.

All you US guys who are complaining about the rising price of Marvel figures - do you know what is the price here in Europe? In Czech Republic Hydro-man wave was being sold for 17USD, Chameleon wave for 19USD. We are talking about the country where average household disposable income is 21103USD. Other countries have similar prices. Distribution was awful with delayed or even skipped waves, with movie lines arriving weeks after movie premiered etc. It is in stark contrast to ie. LEGO products that are always available for the prices comparable to the rest of the world.

Adding to the note of international toys, here's a tiny bit of good news. Steve Evans of the Star Wars line announced an "Archive" 3.75 Vintage Collection! Its basically re-releases "mostly" for Europe. "Mostly" may mean at least 1 domestic U.S. retailer might get "Archive" 3.75 figures.
So if Evans can do an "Archive" 3.75 line can Bobby Vala also bring back his own "Archive" 3.75 Vintage Collection? He's part of Hasbro's Marvel team who came up with the Toy Biz Vintage Collection. Bobby can include old and new figures in such a line. He's a big G.I Joe fan. As added incentive - maybe add a Joe - in each wave to double down on that nostalgia! Like Toy Biz, its Joe too who was part, of the Marvel 1990s. This should be done in time for the new Snake Eyes film! Can someone do a photoshop of Snake Eyes on a Toy Biz card? It’s perfectly possible to do facial sculpts at 4” with the same level of detail as the 6” figures, especially with the shift to digital sculpting where it’s just a matter of resizing a 3D model.
Don’t believe me? Have a look at any of the amazing hydro-shrunk head casts offered by many casters. Quote:

And we're at least 2 years out from a GI Joe movie. Well, 2+ years. Generally for big budget films like it, or even reasonably big budget. It's roughly 2 years from start day of filming, and filming hasn't started yet, so we're a little ways out for that. Right now we're still in only rough draft territory, not shooting script territory. We should potentially be getting both a snake eyes prequel though, and a formal GI Joe 3. Is possible they may merge elements of both. But the main intent seems to have more classic nods, while still maintaining the scifi elements too. When those are farther along is when we'll hear more about 1:18th toyline plans. Between that and various Marvel sequels that'll need new toy line material, and other areas, we may see some new product then outside of the exclusive packs. |

"Stop bitching 'cause I have it worse" is kinda self-centered. I mean I never tell my friends that they aren't allowed to complain about their bumps and bruises even though I've been in constant pain for over 10 years.

What? I did not in any way suggest that you are not allowed to complain. I described situation in Europe that is even worse than in US. I even added smiley so everybody knows it's lighthearted post. We are all in this together, there is no need for antagonism. I am really sorry for your pain but your post was IMHO uncalled for.
