It looks like the minimates Prof X Cerebro helmet. It doesn't go all the way down because of the peg, which is why he has it in that position. If you twist out the peg and dremel it a bit it should go down far enough to be passable.

so, i was at walmart tonight and they had already set up the pallet for the avengers 8-pack black friday sets and i learned a few things. they seem to be random and at least two sets i saw featured iron man 2 whiplash, ultimate iron man, and war machine (w/ rhodey) face. probably safe to assume the mandarin will be in a pack as well. they had some of these packs just sitting on the top of the pallet so i went through them to see which figs were assembled.
so take a look if you are interested. happy hunting my dudes and a happy thanksgiving as well! |

Just a update, toywiz has their nova/hercules figures scheduled ship date around February, not sure how accurate this is but its better than bbts first quarter. Just passin info along.

If I'm correct, Toywiz changes their pre-order dates to a later shipping date all the time.

I think it might be a possibility we might see them in retail like with the prof x wave, because I messaged bbts about the prof x wave after I found mine at retail and they said the dates they have are up to date and they have heard nothing different. I would check your wal mart regularly, they seem to be the only retail getting the early release of these guys. I think as soon as hts offers them up for pre order like they did with the prof x wave the next few days after that we might see them at retail. Thats what happened with the prof x wave anyways.

Geez bad moon. That collection shot is oozing awesomeness. Very well done. It's like I'm looking at the marvel poster that has everyone in it.

Am I the only one confused by this? This screams bad distribution. I mean, one of those packs has all the most wanted figures from that last wave of IM2 plus the best classic comic Cap from the Cap line. Thankfully, I got them all at retail or made trades but seriously, WTH? Those figures could have been easily sold online for $10 by Hasbro, earning them much more money than these 8-packs. Maybe they didn't know they had these and were glad to have Walmart take the stock off their hands. I mean, they already had to pay someone to separate these and pack them into 8-packs so why not have the employees set aside the ones they know they can sell.
Looks like some more comic Hydra soldiers will be on the market and maybe I'll finally be able to get a few.

Around here the pegs were packed for years with the movie armors, leaving the cool later waves barely stocked for lack of space. Same with the early wave Caps and Thors. For $3.25 each? No brainer deal. I'll just donate the doubles I already have to Toys for Tots.
