Thanks mate Quote:
Most definitely much appreciated,D Day! With or without the cool backdrops (which make your pics awesome wallpaper I might add), I appreciate each & every picture posted here. I may not comment on all of them but it's not to say I've overlooked them. I've even shared them with friends and family. Best way to explain the joy is reliving that childhood nostalgia of looking at figure cardbacks/vehicle boxes/catalogs/newspaper displays and being immersed in that toy line's splendor. And on the flip side, the weekend party pictures of late have inspired me to take pictures (which I assure you is not my forte) if not to join in the fun and celebration.
I know I shouldn't care about peoples reaction, but as I said, the whole point of this thread is to appreciate 4 inch figures, from the beginning a big part of that has been and should be pictures. When I first got on here some people photos, mostly the legendary NoodleChow, made me feel, the feels. He's one of my all time favorite toy photographers and seeing his pictures made me push myself to improve my own photography. I'm guessing a portion of the folks on here have not had the privilege to see any of his work I recommend that you check it out because for me, its some of the best of all time. You gotta go back deep in the archives to see the MU stuff, but I learned alot of what I learned by looking at his work and figure posing, and trying to improve my own. https://www.flickr.com/photos/21794422@N07/ Quote:

GREETINGS from THE CREATOR. First off I would like to say that D DAY your pics are awesome. No pun intended. Your customs are sweet also. Dude there is no way that anyone could not like your stuff. You are not acting like a B, you are just looking for likes for the effort that has been spent. I or should say we understand. Keep creating bro....CREATOR OUT!!!!!
Thanks my friend. I sort of feel now like everyone is having a pitty party for me now lol and going out of their way to comment. But I'll take it!!! Quote:
Dang that Mystique is sick! I'm actually happy with her MU release, one of my all time favorites.
I get frustrated when I spend time posting pics only to get a smart ass critique of the poses, unless it's in jest. This thread moved so damn fast it's hard to keep up with all the amazing pics, so don't take the lack of comments or "likes" personally D day. I know sometimes I mean to comment on something but before I get to it the thread is already 4 pages forward and I can't find it... kind of like that amazing display room someone posted pics of recently it was so amazing and so many great customs I meant to ask about. Yeah man, I know, I do like the MU Mysitque, but my collection is so deep at this point, and I've got so many customs and characters that would never get made, I'm getting around to improving upon the figures that did get released. You might be referring to the company extreme sets? https://www.extreme-sets.com/ I have emailed them via there site and tried to contact them via instagram about making 4 inch scale stuff, because for them it'd be a no brainier. It's all just computer and printing, scaling it down. And they'd have an entire new market to get into. But those aholes have never gotten back to me despite my efforts. so I'm kinda over them. But again, it might be a function of more than just me asking them to cater to 4 inch.

You're pics are outstanding D Day!!!
I appreciate them always even if I don't say. I too stopped posting on other sites for the same reason, no likes. Trivial bit I feel the same. Also, I finally have a running dialogue with Jesse Falcon. We have been "small" talking for awhile. Maybe 15 messages back and forth. He answers within a day. So I have briefly mentioned scale stuff and he seems receptive to an open discussion. I will ask if I can "interview" him and ask three questions to post here?.... it is a start, he might say no but it is a bit of an in. What single question would YOU ask? I will do my best. Oh man! seriously?? I have been saying on here that the numbers don't lie, and MU (4 inch) is more popular than Legends. And I have the actual data to back that up. I have not really laid the case out here in the public forum, because I don't want the information I have, or that I'm working with, to become "tainted". But If you have an opportunity to present some facts to him. I can put my info together in some sort of intelligible manner and I'd be stoked if at least I know the facts got to someone who could potentially make a positive decision for our beloved 4 inch. ON THAT NOTE: IS ANYONE HERE GOOD WITH NUMBERS, STATISTICS, PERCENTAGES?? I WOULD LIKE TO PUT THESE NUMBERS TOGETHER IN A MANNER THAT WOULD HAVE THE BEST IMPACT. PLEASE PM ME IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH THIS STUFF AND COULD HELP ME OUT. (sorry for the caps, I just didn't what this to get missed)

Marvel Universe Avalanche
Made amazingly by SuperTom, this figure is not surprisingly, a masterpiece. Background is a wallpaper that I found. The concrete swirl pieces are tamishii nations impact effect cut outs that I photographed and then layered.

I think this is all right here. Marauders is about $2000 away from being the first to bring highly articulate Men In Black/CIA/SHIELD agents to us. Their Agency Ops is locked until $172,000 and they are at $169,000 with 8 hours or so left. Marauders is legit and delivers every time if you guys aren't familiar. This is their third 4 inch figure kickstarter and they make quality stuff with the best customer service anywhere.

I'm surprised they got that close. I'd most want to have a husky paint job so I hope they clear that one.
Anyways, Zombie Labs also had a business suit guy that you can get in a 5 pack. |

If you remember the 90's animated tv series (honestly who doesn't, it's probably the reason alot of us became marvel fans) in the opening credits Magneto is running towards the X-Men with this line up of villans.
It took me a while to complete it. But with the Avalanche figure that I finally got made, I was able to complete the line up and take this pic. (the only one i'm missing is the big headed dude in green, but I honestly don't even know who that is)

I don't recall him ever actually showing up in an episode to fight the X-Men but he was briefly shown in a episode where they went to Genosha slave island. Same episode Sunfire showed up in. But part of Warpath's history at one time or another was that he was pissed at the X-Men for his brother's (Thunderbird) death. He dawned his Bros costume but tried to fight the X-Men. So that's what I imagine whoever suggested/drew this was going for because the body of the dude in the screenshot is definitely more Warpath sized than Thunderbird sized. When I had this custom made it was a throw back to that history, and while I didn't have the bird painted on the chest, the arm/boot tassels and head feathers that I had sculpted on were influenced by that.

Yeah I think so. They never really addressed it. But size wise and the way the hair is drawn it always made more sense that it was Warpath and not T-bird
But I could be wrong.

since we're talking about warpath, this is what I use (thunderbird from toybiz giant size boxset)
works enough for me.

DDAY you really should post this "evidence" because contrary to what your beliefs are the reality is that Universe is NOT more popular than Legends!
it might be the case for some of us in here or on mucc but its certainly not the case in any group i am part of outside of TA! |

it might be the case for some of us in here or on mucc but its certainly not the case in any group i am part of outside of TA! Popularly or interest in legends doesn't even come close to touching MU. If this is a race, MU is already at home drinking a cold one with the championship trophy on the shelf, and Legends hasn't even gotten out of the starting blocks. I'll happily post my info, but I'm gonna wait to so since I don't want the numbers to be effected just yet, if there's a potential to put this data in front of someone important at hasbro, then I'd like to do that, and afterwards I'd be happy to post it up here. But rest assured, the disparity numbers between interest in MU and Legends is basically insurmountable at this point.

Just thinking off the top of my head here.
This data needs to be posted here, there and everywhere, but mostly it needs to be properly formatted and posted on Youtube. Then get a name at the Wall Street Journal and email them the link. Ask them "If 4" is so much more popular than 6", why is Dwight Stall at Hasbro trying to kill 4" and push 6"? Wouldn't that hurt Hasbro's bottom line?" If WSJ picks that ball up and runs with it, Hasbro will have to step in. Yeah, probably a long shot I know, but we could get lucky. CCC. |
