Memories bro sometimes that's all you have which inspires me to customize and just get it out. I think that it is over personally and so sad.

Vala also provides an explanation for what happened to Marvel Universe. About what I expected, but still pretty discouraging.

I appreciate and respect your point of view but I want to give you some insight so you know the actual facts. Yes, 4" fans are loyal however, there just aren't enough of you out there. It is my favorite scale but the sad truth is that is doesnt sell well. Sure it sells well to the 1500 collectors out there but thats nowhere near enough for a company like Hasbro to support the scale. I worked on Marvel Universe and sadly saw it dwindle down to a shell of what it was. This was because they were too expensive to produce compared to a 6" figure and the retailers didnt want 4". I'm not talking out of my ass here, these are facts. If and when Joe comes back I have a feeling its not going to be what the fans want. Its unfortunate that the 3.75" ARAH days are done and there is no one left at Hasbro that cares about it. Joe will something new and either people will get on board or they wont.
lies. dwight killed the line because some gi joe/mu fan insulted his daughter.

I haven't been a "toy collector" in almost 10 years. Outside of getting parts to make customs I rarely spend money on anything toy related (2 non-custom oriented purchases in the last year and those went straight into a closet). I make them to broaden my art skills and experiment with different techniques. Speaking of techniques, I FINALLY know how I want to make that figure for you, Jackieboy! At least how I'm going to attempt it. I need to get a different sculpting material though. The epoxy I use now isn't the right product for the amount of detail I want on them. |

Don't have time to comment on everything, so pulled my favorites from all that's been added lately. (Except for you Geo, your dios are always fun to look through and see who you put where. Definitely keep those coming!)
I haven't even thought of this character since I first read about him during the early Onlaught issues. Very nice. I'm still loving the look of this Zola! A rare custom from you, very nice work! I don't know jack about Shang Chi though. Hope his movie is good. This one I enjoy. Good choice with the head. I've never been a fan of the ME style Joe figs (I hate the hand designs!!) but can't deny the parts are useful - Almost wish I hadn't sold off most of mine years ago, would be a nice source of parts. Absolutely MARVELOUS, Creator! Your signature comic-styled paintwork makes Tombstone terrifying. The accessories are off the charts with DeathsHead. And Mar Vel's bands and emblem are beautiful touches. |

Thanks for the congrats. I found them at the local Winners. I guess it’s a Canadian subsidiary of TJ Maxx.
They're definitely some of the nicer figures from the twilight of the line. I’m probably going to be putting them all up in my B/S/T thread (excepting maybe Iron Man), though, as I’m in the process of slowly selling off or trading away my 4” Marvel figures, so I guess my good fortune may ultimately be to the benefit of one or more of you guys. 6 inchers should be $40 then I don't get how a smaller figure could cost more than a larger figure to make. |
