Great mix of new + classic names I see here. That'll be cool to see new stuff grace retro card art,

Notable young characters that never got made in the 3.75 inch scale, as far as I know.
Ms. Marvel Spider-Gwen Wiccan Hulkling Kate Bishop Stature Miss America Chavez Ironheart Amadeus Cho The New Mutants Generation X (except Jubilee) Spider-Girl (either May or Anya) Franklin and Valeria Richards Artie and Leech I think Miles Morales was one of the last teen characters done in the scale. |

^^^ that'll be cool to see new material in retro form. Like the somehwwat new Miles Morales on a classic Kenner case. Just like TVC 3.75, maybe MU 3.75 can be brought back with a classic case, updated with new sculptural detail (like Sideshow busts)

So like, I've somewhat resolved my personal beef with the Retro collection due to my "They're trying to get the 3.75 Marvel train going again" conspiracy theory, but the thing that's been weirding me out lately is that...They have a legit fanbase? Like, of people who were never into MU, and just think these figures are neat? I mean, their concept is nowhere near what Kenner would've actually done with the Marvel license in the 80's, and they have multiple points, like Cap's shield clip, and the more modern sculpting on female figures and the like, where modern figure engineering rears its ugly head, to the point where they probably should've done the sensible thing and put the heads on ball joints. It's not a good retro line, but there's a growing community for them for some reason?

Hey Guys. Haven't posted in ages. But wanted to give a shoutout to my man over at PilksCreations for the great figures he made me, to round out some of the holes in my rosters. Get a chance to have PILKS do some work for you. I strongly recommend it. I added group shots so you can see hows his customs fit right in !!

Just saw a new Legends wave with a Mr Hyde BAF and some Shang Chi movie figures...man...if those figures can make Hasbro more money that a proper re-launch of MU or even a well sculpted MCU line then truly there never needs to be a decent 4 inch Marvel line again. Those figures are horrible.

personally the retro line is an easy pass for me and im not accepting any excuses about manufacturing "costs" when fortnite and halo are superposable!!! great looking and friendly on the wallet and easily distributed around the world. id ask Hasbro to pass the licence on to another company willing to take it onboard.we could see a steady flow of 3.75" with no more mail away or exclusive BS we encountered with MU back in the day. |

I am curious to know how the retro line became a reality considering I surf a lot of forums outside of here and never seen nor heard mention of a demand for this style of figure. if there are 3.75" enthusiasts working at Hasbro then what on earth compelled them to create this line if they were angling for a rebirth of MU? |

The new legends body moulds are decent enough providing grade a customisers plenty of options. besides its the Hardcore collectors that will appreciate these collection expanders and team builders. i have heard Hydes name mentioned on a few collectors and ACBA members wish lists so it appears Hasbro legends team is interacting with those communities.

Check out Sperotoys.com. They make the Animal Warriors of the Kingdom figures. The deluxe figures of Thane, the Horrid Beserkers and Benghus Khan have alternate bear heads. There's also Belarus, but his bear head has an eyepatch. They're about 5 inches tall, so they work with MU figures. The downside is that none are brown. Thane is black and dark blue (and has two scars on his chest). The Berserker is grey and has white, tribal marking on his arms and chest. Benghus Khan is orange and cream colored with some stripes. Still, they are probably your best bet for an Ursa Major (and they are good figures too).
Looked at them. Problem 1: The legs are too skinny for the character. 2: The "bear" heads are not true bear heads(but I have some I might could adapt). 3: The ones with the best chance of working do not come with the bear feet. This would mean buying 2 figures to make one. CCC. Last edited by LordMudd; 04-16-2021 at 10:44 PM.. |

Rumors have it, the MCU will get more cosmic, and Hasbro can go back to make toys from these more cosmic backstories too. If so, the bigger cosmic toys will only make these smaller 3.75 figures look more awesome...

On the topic of comic back issues, Kohl's has a t-shirt looking like a retro comic. It features the Unimind. Don't know what the MCU version looks like. If it looks like the retro comic version, maybe a big inflatable toy can be made. If not Hasbro maybe another toy co. like Playmates. Can't help but think of that retro cool Playmates TMNT blimp when looking at it,

^^^ I dig the idea of Unimind forming a Kenner 375 case. Shoulder part can be "energy effects" sculpted in to give it a floating effect. If not effects, maybe "relief art" of characters sculpted on the shoulder part. That maintains a classic Kenner case head / shoulder shape. For more characters (of future movies) just swap the front. Keep the middle / back, for more retro cool Kenner cases...

Weird we have no figure/toy leaks for the Chang Chi movie...
I for one, need a new 3.75" Mandarin figure (though the IM2 figure is really great if you repaint the rings).

we had the secret wars line back in the 80s with slightly taller figures and some cool playsets like the Tower of doom, these new retro figures were never a thing back then and id imagine its guys who collect those super7 figures that think these are great.
