I posted this in General Toys Discussion earlier today but it appears everyone is hanging out in the Marvel section here at ToyArk....and since all my pics are Marvel related I figured...why not re-post in the proper place : )
We will be showing this patented item to Hasbro and other toy companies (McFarlane, NECA, The SK Omega Guys, Etc) in hopes that they will purchase of license the patent from us to use amongst thier own brands. Whats so special? Lots! The displays are made up of individual dual panel building blocks that are customizeable by inserting printed items inside the panel.....the prototype here is not a final design...the final design has a peg/hole system moulded as part of each panel on each side horizontally and vertically (6 sides). These can then be snapped together (lego/Kreo style??) to build any display you like. They will be available in many shapes/sizes and the base panel has it's own proprietary peg system that will accomodate most action figures and other collectibles. If none of these companies pick up on this display innovation, we will try to bring it to market ourselves...but it's tough and expensive to do so. Wish us luck, and let us know what you think! |

Ok, THAT is a good idea. Perfect for making that perfect Marvel Civil War display. Would be awsome to include "flight stands" that are made to peg in the holes. I'm actually rather excited and I wish you the best of luck to get this on the market!

Honestly anybody else thinking x-men battle testing room! it'd be perfect for it, also if every side had pegs you could have spidey on the walls or ceiling,
Suggestions on improvements, a hinge door, this could apply to the top to be a roof vent, or a door/window, maybe pegs to elevate it, sections to join connect, leds, you could make hauls of armour 2. |

Saw this over on hisstank and think its a good idea. Would be very surprised if hasbro or any of those other companies would even consider making these but good luck.

Flight Peg Stands have been in the mix from the beginning, also wheel blocks for die cast and other vehicles. Considering future expansion of 3D accessories that would peg into the base as well (shrubs, barrels, computer stations, etc.) |

Many patented ideas are submitted to companies and brought to market, so if the idea is good and they feel they can profit from it, then they will bite. But, what do you think would prevent a company from producing these specifically? What hurdles do you think I am up against? I would definately appreciate your further input : )
As I mentioned, I do like the cases and think its a good idea. I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted on if you are able to strike a deal or someone is willing to manufacturer them for you.

I havent seen Hasbro make any stands or display type cases yet and dont see them focused or even concerned with something like this. It's possible that a reseller might want to sell these on their site but again it'll all be cost prohibitive and you mentioned that they are expensive to make.
As I mentioned, I do like the cases and think its a good idea. I wish you the best of luck and keep us posted on if you are able to strike a deal or someone is willing to manufacturer them for you. The direction I could see a large company going is to use the patent "utility" in thier current brands.....I can see them being used in Kre-o, various Action Figure lines, and even some board game applications. I do not believe the items will be expensive to the end user.....it simply will be expensive for a little guy like me to get this off the ground. Good stuff...I appreciate the input! Thank You! |

its a good thought, but for collectors, you need to take this a step further: Iron Man Armory. Theres at least 30 or so different figs from MU and Iron Man 2 to warrant it. even if its a floor base and a back wall with a background, or hell, have some leds shining from the top for highlighting, that'd be better than the nothing we have available to us on the market now.

On our own we could do "similar" looking backgrounds but coud not offer anything official or exact without a license to do so. Of course because of the design (fully intended design)...crafty folk can always design and print thier own artwork for them : ) |

If and this is an if Hasbro does pick this cool display item up, it will be on a few factors, namely what their profit margin will be. After that it's factoring in your profit margin, product cost, packaging design, and manufacturing costs. If your product meets their criteria then Hasbro will be shaking your hand, handing you a big mutha fucking check. My only real argument for hasbro to deny this awesomeness besides the financial side is, that for the most part all MU figures come with stands now, so does star wars, gi joe,IM2, minus cap, thor and spidey lines and MU 2/3/5packs. I'm more surprised Hasbro hasn't made a grab bag of stands say 20 stands for $10, or a package of just weapons, head and hands swaps.
But they could market this the same as plastic protectors for cards, an enhancement if you wlll to give your collection an added touch. but this is a pretty need idea and if the outside layer had connection points like lego bricks snapping together would be a nice touch. but even a clear large plastic sheet with a dirt/battle scene underneither and a backdrop of an action scene would be awesome, basically an L shape. I'd buy 1 to put on top of my display case and make an epic battle scene. Having the L shape allows easier posablitly and display options, especially for a larger or baf figure to be thrown in the mix. |

hmm here is a thought if you could make it to SDCC 2012 and take it with you and meet the hasbro crew in person and work some thing out . or even talk to ShartimusPrime or Boognice10 on youtube to help you out on tjis. it would be so wicked to have some of those stands to show off our MU collection .
