Many moons ago when I used to customize, I found Testor's to be high quality.

So anyways i decided to go to my local TRU. It's been awhile since i last went, and as i walked in today. Hoping to see at least either of the Guardians wave or hopefully the new X wave. I was greeted by close to empty pegs of legends.
I saw a few of the strange wave, a few of the peg warmers of the previous X wave, a couple or female beetles, and a few of the previous Cap wave.... Needless to say once again, i'm very disappointed with TRU. I guess some stores don't care about their displays and or what they are currently stocking on the shelves. |

You all sound like you've been visiting my nearest TRU (the only one that I can just "run by to check". Tons of the remnants of the Juggernaut and Absorbing man wave, practically nothing else. Takes forever to get exclusives in, which I dread with this six pack, I prety much KNOW I'll be buying it online....ugh

Went to my secondary TRU (further from home, but still a regular checking point) yesterday, found three pegs of the Groot Evolution figure, but none of the new GOTG (which I've seen sporadically elsewhere).
They did, however, have a small GOTG Vol. 2 endcap near the front of the store (close to where they have the HUGE front displays), so y'all may want to check around there for the new figures.

The swords are nowhere near straight (Casted bent, not warped) and the sheaths don't stay on his back at all. I chose to display him with them off, only because they would fall off otherwise. My other nitpick is the ankles. They are not good at all, it is amazing how much of a step up rocker ankles are. IMO you should pay a smidge more and get the X-Men wave Deadpool from last year, a lot of online stores received the revision case recently and the newer one can be found for about $25 right now. |

Just got this baby int today! Fantastic War Machine, the best ever made. I also think it's one of Hasbro's best figures. It makes me smile to think of that old Exclusive Walmart War Machine that people used to sell for $60. I'm glad I decided not to pay that price and got this instead for $20. This is better than any Iron Man figure they've put out. And though it's just a leg, the Ant Man BAF is awesome, and I'm definitely going to track down the rest of the parts.

I broke down and bought Groot on Amazon, for $30 with express shipping and tax and everything. I think I got frustrated because I went on TRU website, and it says it was available for shipping (none in my area still) so I added to cart, by the time i put in my address and card, the stock was sold. I basically said to hell with it and just went for the slightly more expensive option so I don't deal with the frustration. I look forward to getting it next Wednesday.

Scalpers are right up there with televangelists, politicians and reality show people ( hosts AND contestants ).. None are too bright, have the morals of an alley rat and all just think about money.

Nice, I settled for the AoU War Machine back in the Hulkbuster wave. It's armaments could be better, they're pretty light for War Machine, but the paint is a nice metallic black and silver. If I didn't already have that one I'd be all over this one but it's not a character I need two of when I'm content with mine.
Well said.

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I use the Prisma app on my phone. It's a really fun photo app. That specific filter in the Angela shots is called "Hunter".

Nice Angela pics, Red! I was thinking about moving on to photos of her, she deserves the love being a standout fig. Some collectors have lamented that she's difficult to work with, but I haven't really had any problems posing the fig. Well, nothing out of the ordinary as it regards female sculpts. I do hope some improvements are made to certain Hasbro female molds.

@Red
I think some of the the way the head sits on her neck is by design. I first noticed this with Jean Grey (and pics of the upcoming Dark Phoenix, which features a dramatically - IMO - elongated neck). At first, I thought it was the same problem we see in a few male sculpts (namely, Dr Strange) where the head appears to float if you aren't careful in how you pose. However, after manipulating Jean/Angela/Polaris, I now believe that this phenomenon may be an intentional effort to provide more play/articulation for the long tresses of hair many female heroes sport. If I had personal access to Hasbro designers, I'd inquire as to whether this seeming flaw was actually purposeful engineering. As you noted, there are still problems preventing this tweak (supposing that is in fact what it is) from being a complete fix. The improvements that I'd like to see with female sculpts are more common use of double elbows, bicep swivels, a greater range of motion of the torso (in lieu of the removal of an ab crunch; a shift that I initially had problems with, but have come to appreciate), and better hips specifically for enormous women (Red She Hulk, Valkyrie, Thundra, Hela, and the upcoming She-Hulk who I hope isn't a straight reuse of previous molds). I'm curious as to what improvements, if any, you'd like to see with female designs... |

Does anyone know why the Giant Man wave Black Panther is going for so much online?
