Over in hollywood in south Broward. Targets,TRU stores, and even most walgreens by us blow big time down here.
While i actually did find one figure today over in the aventura area in a target. They had the price higher then normal stores. |

I have about 12 Walgreens within driving distance, some better than others. Targets have been garbage for me so far, the same with our lone TRU. |

Walgreens on Broward Blvd, east to 7th on corner and Walgreens on Broward Blvd and 441 usually have figures...If you travel a little north on the 95, I'm sure you will find something from the new GOTG Wave there...The one on 441 I saw Vince, Nova, Peter, and Drax there last week...Happy hunting!

My Amazon pre-order for Angela and Darkhawk came in last night. Even though I already found Darkhawk I decided to keep this one as well since I could potentially change him to Razer with minimal painting. Plus I just think it is a damn nice figure. My exposure to Angela is pretty much limited to her brief Guardians stint as I never read much Spawn or any of her Marvel series but I definitely dig the figure.

Razor is a member of the Shi'ar Fraternity of Raptors; a consciousness embedded in Darkhawk's amulet who had been trapped in the "Null" (apparently, a dimension within the amulet) until the events of War of Kings. Talon, another Raptor that was functioning as Vulcan's handler, travels to Earth and manipulates Darkhawk into awakening Razor within the amulet/armor. The Raptors are like super-powered cosmic assassins/spies/political operatives. They function sort of like a Shi'ar counter intelligence force, safe guarding the alien culture. Make no mistake, they are f'd up; using any means available, operating amorally, with the single goal of ensuring Shi'ar dominance. Powers-wise, imagine Darkhawk increased to cosmic lvls...pretty badass.

The briefest way I would describe Angela from the comics is badass renegade angel. I haven't read much of her Marvel stuff but silly origin retcons aside it seems they've kept her character right, she's righteous but not a blind follower and she'll break rules for the greater good.

Oh hey TBM, speaking of cosmic, what do you think about the Vance body as a look for a new Surfer? It is a bit bulkier than I personally like but I know a few liked that thought of a bulkier Surfer way back when we last discussed it. Even the head would almost work if it was just repainted for Surfer. |

With the Venom movie announced, I guess we will be seeing some more Symbiote-offshoots after all...I vaguely remember a discussion about this after the Space Venom reveal. Of course, it's a Sony property, so Marvel may avoid secondary advertisement (aka Legends support).
EDIT: It was a convo during the fan poll with, I believe, Lasher/Scream not Space Venom...not that it matters, I'm weird that way. It bothers me when I can't remember something... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 03-19-2017 at 11:31 AM.. |

LOL whoops, I was actually thinking of Talon. The cosmically powered Darkhawk was so much fun. I would have loved to have accessories to turn him into the Warmode version. War of Kings and the surrounding minis really turned Darkhawk on his head and opened him up for some great cosmic potential which was ultimately wasted when Marvel decided to give the cosmic stuff to Bendis and Loeb and reboot GotG and Nova.

Even the head would almost work if it was just repainted for Surfer. I really like how the Vance Astro fig came out, but I like the Spiderman2099/Sunfire mold better for Surfer. It's perfect in size and musculature for a Ron Lim Surfer; which is likely the most iconic cross-era/generational look for the character given the speculative age groups of potential consumers. The new "butterfly-shoulders" (is that the semi-official nomenclature? - yeah, let's go with that) would compliment Surfer well, adding dynamic options to the figure. I'd also want removable hands, a new "Kirby Krackle" power-globe accessory, and a slick refractive paint job. However, at this point, any Surfer fig would be very welcome... |

Get this. I just ran over to a Walgreens in a small town near where I live and picked up Dazzler, Sunfire, and Colossus for 10 a piece. No joke. The kicker...they had a Cyclops ON THE SHELF! Too bad I found him on Friday. I left him for the next collector, no need to try and make a couple bucks.

EDIT: It was a convo during the fan poll with, I believe, Lasher/Scream not Space Venom...not that it matters, I'm weird that way. It bothers me when I can't remember something... As for the Venom movie announcement, this REALLY has me worried, as this is something Sony has talked about since Spider-Man 3, and we all know how well that first appearance turned out. In addition, to have this announced so quickly, as well as their intention of the film being rated R, it looks as if Sony is just trying to cash in on the whole "Rated R anti-hero film" fad, and strike while the iron is hot, meaning a forced and rushed project is likely on the way. In addition, I've seen some of the emails that Sony was passing back and forward regarding the direction of the ASM franchise and Venom thanks to that Sony Films leak a while back, and some of the ideas for Venom regarding casting and story were AWFUL (does anyone really want Channing Tatum to play Venom, because Sony did, and Channing was pushing for it...) As a huge Venom fan (I have two tattoos of the character...) I will also say that unless the film features Eddie Brock and ties into Spider-Man somehow, I won't standing in line at the box office. Sorry, but I am just not interested in a spinoff film with flimsy or no Spider-Man references at all. Spidey is CRUCIAL in Venom's origin, as Venom is Spidey's truest anti-thesis, great power with limited or no responsibility. I would also be okay with a revised origin for Brock (such as the college freshman shamed by his underclassman treatment we got in the Ultimate Comics, since our MCU Spider-Man is a younger version as well.) As far as I'm concerned, Eddie Brock IS Venom...the rest of these clowns have been a bunch of cosplayers running around with a symbiote calling themselves Venom. The name "Venom" came from Brock, as it was the word he used to describe the poisonous nature of his hatred for Spider-Man, as well as the questionable material he was writing after his journalism career was sabotaged. The name makes no sense with the other hosts, as they did not carry the same motivations that Brock had. The name is just an abbreviated name for "The symbiote that was once formerly Venom," at this point. |

@Triv
I agree with almost everything you've said; the need for a Madness Venom BAF, Scream and Lasher being the more interesting looking knockoffs, 'original' Brock as a much more captivating character, Hollywood R-rated hero cash-in bonanza, Venom as the only true/complete foil for Spidey, and especially the absurdity of even considering Tatum for the role (although I've liked some of his performances, I can't quite place what hero or villain he could star as...I was ok with Gambit, but liked that dude from Origins). Err...I guess I'm in total agreement considering that's basically everything you said. ...and this from someone who is decidedly NOT a Venom fan, but that has most to do with being a huge Spidey fan-fool. |

Didn't they say that Venom has nothing to do with the MCU or the new Spider-Man? That seems silly to me.

After watching all of Iron Fist, my opinion is that while it's better than both Jessica and Luke, it fell short of both DD seasons. I don't like the way it portrayed the Hand or most of the villains save Gao who I've loved since her introduction. Like DD though Fist's subplots got way too much screen time.
