Galactus good, but Marvel Universe is better
Sentinel x2 awesome figure Apocalypse pretty good, but thin lower body Onslaught TB cool figure, not my fav form Mojo looks good, legs suck MODOK limited articulation, but good sculpt Pitt probably my favorite Annihilus need better paint apps Blob solid figure, hollow feeling Terrax cool figure, lame as a BAF Odin meh.... Lame BAF Hulkbuster solid figure Absorbing Man another meh figure. lame BAF Onslaught Hasbro I prefer this form, figure is kinda lacking. detail Giant man MCU small considering, don't really like MCU. figures Space Knight Venom grew on me, but not really a BAF Juggernaut good figure, but doesn't top the select version Dormammu solid figure, glad he got a non exclusive release Sandman not really a BAF, but I enjoy this figure a lot Titus not really a BAF, solid figure Warlock nice figure, super solid and detailed. Man Thing slightly better than the toybiz figure Gladiator Hulk I really like this figure, details and great. articulation Last edited by Jerseysteel; 08-17-2017 at 05:09 PM.. |

I gotta agree with RedFox re: the use of multiple suited bodies with varied heads.
Also love the head swap here by DarkToyLord: I'm thinking that Jane Foster Thor body from the Ragnarok wave, with a few nice headswaps, would make a great base for a flock of Asgardian Valkyries... which begs my question to the harder core comic readers out there: other than in the animated Thor: Tales of Asgard movie, has Marvel ever presented Valkyries as a group a la how they are presented in traditional Norse mythology? |

i just have Apache Chief, oh wait, thats DC. Anywho, i would like to get Onslaught & Modok in the future and i think Dormammu sucks, his lower body looks too plain, if you look at his shoes it looks like if he has black timberland boots, SMH.

which begs my question to the harder core comic readers out there: other than in the animated Thor: Tales of Asgard movie, has Marvel ever presented Valkyries as a group a la how they are presented in traditional Norse mythology? I believe the first time they're ever mentioned is very early on (Still Journey into Mystery) when they fly Megingjord to Earth to enhance Thors strength after a villain empowered by Loki has trapped Thor. Brunhilde showed up a few times after that with very little regard to anything; she was a man-hater who took on the Hulk for being male (this may have been part of the Amora storyline, but I don't recall). She was a naive outsider who was like a less competitant Sif. I think next she became interwoven with Enchantress at that point, who played her in a big soap opera plot with Amora about stealing her body and trapping her soul and ended up being merged/bound/disguised as a mortal woman at that point. Then (if I'm not mistaken) they introduced Brunhilde as part of the Ring cycle retelling as part of Sigmund and Siegfried's story, while Thor was Siegfried, the two fell in love and after the cycle completed, Odin wiped their memories and set Brunhidle to typical Valkyrior work and Thor back to being God of Thunder. Brunhilde had a short lived plot as Thors Confidant, who was always giving poor advise until (spoiler!) it was revealed she wasn't real and was part of the warriors madness eroding Thors mind. The Valkyrior (the marvel name for the Valkyries) had a few appearances here and there over the years, they had a bigger part in an Odin and Hela battle over Valhalla and they perform the same actions of their mythological counterparts. After Brunhilde started getting her own stories (and not been a Valkyrie in terms of duties) Valtruata has been the leader of the Valkyries since, though AFAIK she never got her own story, just as part of the group, who from their origin on, performed their duties as redeemers of the worthy dead, just never as the central plot over the years. The Ultimate Universe had Brunhilde die and become the first Valkyrie in the mythological sense, as after her death she worked out a deal with Hela and would recover the dead to either go to Valhalla or Hel, which also allowed her to leave Hela's domain and see Thor (who was in a rage after her death) to calm him down and occasionally see him after that as I recall. Toy Biz Sentinel (Times 2 if I recall, they've been in storage for a long time) Toy Biz Apocalypse (blue) King Thor Gladiator Hulk Wow, for as many years as I've been buying, that I only completed four seems real low. I did mean to finish the Mandroid, but never got around to getting the last arm and leg. I've thought about going back and getting the cheap figures and completing Hulkbuster as well. I hate BAFs. LOL. My eternally 40% complete Juggernaut will haunt me forever I bet.
Saw Bullseye today at Walmart... guess he's the runt of the litter. I thought for sure Blade was gonna be the least popular of the wave. |

The only one I never built was the Spider-Man 3 movie Sandman. Since then, I've sold a few but for the most part, I have had every BAF.
Although I don't have Gladiator Hulk yet. Not sure if I'll bother with him. |

I own almost all the Bafs and multiples of each. I was a figure whore back in the day.
My favorite is probably the Sentinel, I have like 5 of those things. I am saddened to see how an 8.5" figure today is considered a big BAF. That sentinel was like 15 or 16. Those were the days. |

Probably a pricing mistake. Good for you. I don't ever get that lucky. Best I see is Rey or Captain Cassian on clearance at Target. I think those Star Wars toys/brand is in trouble retailer wise as they just do not sell.

They just lump all spiderman figs together. I ran into this when i got my janice lincoln beetle. But another wal mart had this with all doc strange legends but not spidey. I could use a 9 dollar beetle and tombstone and moonie if amyone comes across em. Dont need the dumb wing pieces.

I believe I have 29 BAFs Sentinel was my first. Sentinel and Apocalypse are def my favorites. Note: i think Hulkbuster and Onslaught are AMAZING figures that only fall short of greatness due to the paint apps. If either of them were painted like the original sentinels were, they'd be masterpieces. I still may get them a custom paint job done one day. my WANT list is still 1. Galactus 2. MODOK 3. Ronan I'm building (slow process) 1. Brood Queen 2. Arnim Zola I have groot but never completed him and just purchased the single figure. My BAFs 1 Sentinel 2 Apocalypse 3 Mojo 4 Annihilus 5 Blob 6 Terrax 7 Mandroid 8 Ultimate Goblin 9 Odin 10 Hobgoblin 11 Thanos 12 Hulkbuster 13 Ultron 14 Rhino 15 Absorbing Man 16 Onslaught 17 Giant Man - MCU 18 Space Venom 19 Abomination 20 Juggernaut 21 Dormammu 22 Sandman 23 Titus 24 Warlock 25 Mantis 26 Man-Thing 27 Gladiator Hulk 28 Vulture (Wings) MCU 29. Jubilee (i cheated as she has two right arms ;o) Worst BAF to me. Titus. Not sure why I even kept him. its not so much the BAF. I just think it's an awful character design. Questions: Why was Pitt a BAF ?? well damn..that's a squad right there.. Last edited by Augustus_Cole; 08-18-2017 at 11:23 AM.. |

I own 25-30 BAFs. I plan on doing a BAF video soon for my channel. I have every BAF Hasbro has made since the Return of Marvel Legends, except Puck, Rocket Raccoon, Ultimate Green Goblin, and Ultimate Hobgoblin. I also have FFF, Mojo, and of course Sentinel from Toybiz.
In fact last night Ares and Vol. 2 Rocket arrived so that completed every BAF from this year for me. All that being said, I think I may start thinning the herd soon. I just have way to many figures I picked up because I was one piece away from completing the BAF and the figure itself means nothing to me, looking at you Jane "Thor" and Odinson... plus as big of an X-men fan that I am, I just can't bring myself to love the second wave of figures including Warlock. I think my excitement for Cyclops clouded my judgment on the purchase of that wave. |

The TRU by me had a bunch of that Thor, and Wesley Snipes, and that 2 pack with the Kurt Russel Santa Claus figure. I found them all hidden behind other stuff in a different aisle. I put them back where they were supposed to go. I love ruining nerds' days.
