From what I understand, it's actually just the opposite for the UK and much of Europe, man. From what I've read here on this thread, it seems like the European region has a tough time getting many of the latest Legends, often having to wait an inordinate amount of time to get figs we've had access to for months. The double kicker is that many US based online retailers don't deliver outside of North America. Sure, Hasbro throws a bone here and there as with the scenario you've brought up, but otherwise, they're generally out of luck. The exclusive Disney EU Avenger 5pack and that 'redux-greatest hits' Hulkbuster BAF wave they got were examples of Hasbro trying to get some of the most sought after figs into the hands of collectors across the pond...and if an e-retailer does deliver internationally, the mark-up is significant.
...I wish Hasbro had added a different hair accessory to Medusa. Not being a fan of that costume, I just would have liked it a little more making buying it over again worth it. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 09-27-2017 at 02:48 PM.. |

I kind of dig the original style Medusa costume over the SDCC one. I might end up selling the SDCC one for this version.

nah man...i was just messin' (as per usual).
I know we have it good here as far as lots of retail items go. If i lived elsewhere I think I'd have to take up a different hobby. ...and I don't have that SDCC Medusa, though I've wanted it. So i'm glad I'm getting something, but I understand what you're saying. I'm also a little fond of that SDCC costume and think this one is a tad bit plain. But again I.... "looked her up and down and said..Hmmmm. I'll take her" @Spyne keep me in mind if you do end up selling her. |

was surprised, my nearest toy's r us actually had marvel legends yesterday
they rarely have anything besides left overs from the uk "Avengers movie repacks" wave and remnants of the allfather wave they had the spidey/mj two pack, the new x-men wave, the homecoming wave, and the thor ragnarok wave Picked up the hela and the loki the face sclupts on both are excellent |

Maybe TRU will try to get their act together after the last bankruptcy issues. We may all see an improvement.

Oh, ok. I should have guessed you were being tongue in cheek. Yeah, were I to live outside of the US, I'd likely have a much different perspective on collecting...
It's not the understated look of the costume that turns me off. I'd like that Medusa fig a bit more if it were the even 'more drab' Frightful Four outfit. The Frightful Four (preceded by the U-foes) are one of the villain teams highest on my list of wants (especially that alternate Sandman costume). What I don't like about this costume is that it appears to be a take on the most recent iteration of her costume and (IMO) an uninspired call-back to her original duds. A confusing effort that is neither an anachronistic homage, nor accurate to the current look. WTF is it exactly? 'Lazy,' that's what... Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 09-27-2017 at 04:01 PM.. |

Pissed at Hasbro for this X-Force Deadpool mess. They are going for $100 and up on EBay.

Thanks, BB. I suspected it was that outfit, but without the accents on the gloves and boots, it serves only to illustrate my point about the effort being a tad half-assed. I'll buy it, of course, but their 'almost but not quite' antics are becoming a frequent annoyance.

Funny thing is, with a different belt, it would pass as her A-Force (Secret Wars mini-series, rather than the mainline book) costume, since that once didn't have the accents (although the mask is different enough that it would still be a concession, but I digress).

Speaking of the mask, doesn't that cowl have a jawline? I can't tell with the fig due to the straight on perspective, but I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being an overlooked detail.
...and since I'm in a grousing kinda mood...how (???) did Hasbro miss the opportunity to provide extra 'fists' for Namor? Heroes (and villains) with super-strength as the central manifestation of their powers absolutely NEED fists. They could have solved the Namor and Wonder Man problem with that small concession...Wonder Man's undersized purple baby hands just do not get the job done. |

...you guys do know that it's likely getting posted again during NYCC, right? Hasbro stated that X-Force DP was a 'Summer Convention' exclusive, not just a Hascon exclusive.

If I could travel to NYC or spend all day refreshing a webpage, I would be stoked about that. Hopefully I can snag one in round two.

Kinda ironic that out of all the characters that get multiple head-sculpts, that Medusa, a character defined by her head/hair, does not come with an extra head/hair. Though in their defense, they'd have to put her the two-pack packaging to make room for all that luscious, plastic hair.

Was at TRU today. No sign of the Hydra Pack or A-Force pack even existing.

Is the Hydra 2 pack even hitting yet? I've been checking 2 toys r us stores and nothing. Granted, I'm in NY and sometimes stuff takes a while to show up here compared to the west coast, but have there been sightings of this pack anywhere?

just got that Human Torch from Walgreens.com
it's a decent figure..i don't LOVE it ..but i don't hate the head color like i thought i might. I realized that even though the head is yellow as hell... (especially if you pop it off and look at it) but because it's translucent, the red from the neck and peg show through the yellow which evens it out a bit at certain angles. I just feel like there needs to somehow be more yellow fire to him...but still a decent fig. I'm hoping to see some wonderfully creative person on some social media add some lil mod that really makes this figure pop!!! *edit* okay..it's a kinda cool fig (after some posing) Last edited by Augustus_Cole; 09-28-2017 at 09:15 AM.. |

^^That new Luke Cage looks pretty good! I'm going to try to grab that set (mostly for the Jessica Jones as Jewel figure).
I picked up a Human Torch yesterday. I haven't opened him yet but I think he looks much better in hand that I thought he would. Also, thank you to whoever pointed out that Walgreens was having a sale on Legends. I grabbed a few other older figures for custom fodder. |
