You can never have too many Kurt Russell Figures lol but That’s actually a smart idea I might try that when ever that set does come out

I love that they keep bringing up MCU figures supposedly peg warming like I can't walk into any Target store and find an entire palette of King Cobras.

I think Walgreens should also start getting exclusive figs of over sized classic characters such as Nimrod, Champion, Titanium man, Chod, since it seems that Hasbro is very reluctant to put them in a regular wave unless they are the BAF, problem is, with their heavy MCU driven character usage, not all us classic comic figure collectors want to buy the entire wave just to get a classic Stronguy fig.
They went with the Fantastic Four because they're the Fantastic Four, and they went with the ill-fated Medusa because of the Inhumans TV show (before they realized it was going to bomb). Ditto characters like Agent Venom and Ant-Man. They aren't gonna take a risk on characters who 99 percent of people probably have never heard of, especially not more expensive, giant-sized ones. I know people complain about certain classic characters not being made yet, but the answer is almost always: because Hasbro doesn't think there's a market for it. Look at the list of characters you just posted - the potential amount of people going into Walgreens and buying extra-priced figures of characters like Titanium Man, Ch'od, the Champion of the Universe or Strong Guy is extremely low. |

Exactly. If anything most of the comic figs (which I love and also buy) are the ones who peg warm at least in my area. The Black Panther wave all I saw was Namor Kilmonger and Nakia sold like crazy. Same for infinity War all that’s at much stores are Songbird,Cobra and Occasionally Taskmaster I’ve only seen Caps and Iron spiderman twice each

Never gonna happen. Walgreens knows their customer base, which is why for the most part, their exclusives tend to be relatively notable characters. The deepest cut they ever did was Namor, who didn't move very well. They went with the Fantastic Four because they're the Fantastic Four, and they went with the ill-fated Medusa because of the Inhumans TV show (before they realized it was going to bomb). Oh, I definitely think we'll see Strong Guy at some point. Whether that be as a BAF or part of the next X-Men wave, I can't say. But I'm almost certain it's not gonna be a Walgreens exclusive. It's the same thing with people speculating that we're gonna get characters like Diablo, Blastaar or Puppet-Master as the next Walgreens figures. When a store wants an exclusive, it's usually because they think the character is of some popularity or notoriety.
I'm sure this is all stuff Hasbro takes into account for budgeting a wave; they presumably hope the more popular characters sell well enough to offset any of the lesser known ones clogging pegs. Last edited by hasbroherofan; 06-10-2018 at 03:44 PM.. |

Ch'od! They could totally start sprinkling the Starjammers into X-waves.
I actually really wanted that pack after I saw the movie, I think I was one of fourteen people to buy it at full price. While he was Ego in name only (okay we got that shot where his face was on the planet) I just can't resist Kurt Russell's charisma. Cosair, Ch'od, Raza & Cat lady, her name escapes me at the moment, are waaaaaaay over due. We've had like 3-4 X-related waves where all 4 could have been done by now with 1 member per wave. But nah, let's throw in another Wolvy variant or another X-23 or Mags in a costume that lasted under a yr in the comics version. You should have had patience on that Starlord/Ego 2 pack & let it hit clearance. |

Couple images of the Venom wave and the Riders Logan that I found online. Looks like they tweaked the size of the Brock headsculpt a little bit. Mary looks great as well.
Not feeling the head sculpts on that Logan though. He looks like he had a bad Chorizo burrito for lunch, and his eyes seem all over the place. I wonder where the Riders will be featured in stores...I never saw them anywhere outside of TRU. |

That eye patch Wolverine headsculpt reminds me of Thor... also... Wolvie's headsculpt kinda reminds me of... idk... Uma Thurman mixed with a little Snoke or something... not really liking it.

Front page has an in-package look at the Iron Man anniversary set.
The Tony likeness definitely looks better than the older Hasbro attempts from the era. |

Yeah. It's pretty interesting to see how far the face painting tech has come since 2008.

I think the likeness is pretty good, it's the reuse of that same mold for that Mark 1 figure that bugs me. That's a 10 year old mold, but who am I kidding, I'm all in.

The size issue is mine. The Hasbro Iron Man movie figures never scaled particularly well. They always looked a bit small.

I still contend, minus the articulation around the abductors, the mold for the Mark 46 & 47 Iron Man figures are still the best we've seen for the MCU Marvel Legends. The rest are way too short and thin.

Agreed. Especially when you consider there's supposed to be a person in them.

The movie figures have been fantastic....we do need some solid comic figures though for TOny...but I do wonder if Hasbro is willing to invest on molds for comic Iron man armors. I would love a new First Appearance Iron Man and everyone wants that Modular Armor updated.

So... uh... how about those action figures? Who hopes we see a Kingpin figure at SDCC of some sort?

I was thinking they might include Kingpin among the list of larger characters they might start doing now that they have the Doc Ock body, but then I realized not only is it way too short, but also Kingpin's body type doesn't really fit it.

Obvious solution: Make Kingpin in his combat attire, which can then be reused for a new Blob.

I feel like a comic Kingpin might have to be a BAF just because he's so wide but I suppose they could do him as a regular figure too. It really depends on just how big Hasbro would make him.

As some of you expected, I had to come in and remove just a ton of posts from the last 24+ hours. This is a message that was sent to some of you from the site owner Tony_Bacala after the last dust up. But I think is relevant now as well.

Forum Rules - ALL READ
4. No Political Discussion at all. 10. No discussion on abortion or religion. Now, these rules were written probably 15 years ago so it doesn't cover every single topic going on today. Bottom line - anything that divides people in the current social-political landscape - keep that off this forum. If we need to spell it out, we can and put it in the rules, but I assume we are all adults and know whats up there. This place is for toys, and the stuff around them. Comics, movies, etc. That may slide into this type of stuff because of what companies do with the properties, but even then, we should keep that off site. Case in point, the nerf gun nonsense. If that's a Hasbro regular thing now due to PC - yes, stupid. But, even mentioning it triggers back and forth about everything else, which I don't want here. I would hope this place is a way to get away from that stuff, even for a little bit. So, I'm asking you guys to think about this before you post. Guns, religion, Obama, tax cuts, Russia, Clinton Foundations, Trump, snowflakes and deplorables, MSNBC and FOX, all that, both sides - outta here. It exists, it should be talked about, but not here. While here, we should all be toy brothers (and sisters?). When this stuff does pop up, we will be deleting it. Initial post and the responses, regardless of sides. If you see stuff that you think falls under it, instead of responding, report it. We do read the reports each day. If it repeatedly happens, we'll have to do the Modding thing, but I have no desire to go there.

I could see a new Mole Man on that Doc Ock body. The old one could use an update.
