See, I can't agree with this at all. Superman's powerset really isn't that rare in comic books. There's specific things he can do, like ice breath and heat vision that are kinda unique to him, but superheroes that can fly and have super strength are a dime a dozen in comic books.
The real issue, and what many people claim makes Superman "boring" is his personality. He's literally too good. He doesn't have the crippling character flaws that characters like Batman or Spider-Man have and that works against the character, because how do you write a character that is already perfect and give them any meaningful character development or arc that would make them interesting while still having him be Superman? I will say that the most interesting Superman stories I've read are the ones where you see the effect he has on others. Where he kinda comes down to humanity's level to connect with them on a personal level. One of my favorite scans of Superman, and the one that made me really love him as a character is where there's a woman who's about to jump off of a building and Superman goes up simply to talk with her. The woman is pretty much sure that she isn't important, yet he sits with her the entire night just to give her somebody to vent to. In this moment, Superman doesn't look like a god or a superhero, he really does look like a long lost friend who's trying to help somebody in their time of need. Somebody who's so dedicated to helping others reach their full potential, and that perfectly embodies what Superman is to me. It's genuinely one of the most heartwarming things in comic books that I've ever read. EDIT: Here it is: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ijdxh |

EDIT: Here it is: https://imgur.com/gallery/Ijdxh Superman is a character that you really have to know how to write for if you are going to do him. That is why The Animated Series was so well received. They knew how to write Superman as a compelling character. He's a man who lost his home and has had to disguise himself as a mere human to fit in. There are so many interesting ideas you can do with that but they simply choose not to.

There's a quote from Kelly Sue Deconnick about Captain Marvel where she says that when your hero can punch through a planet, the key telling a compelling story with them is putting them in scenarios they can't just punch their way out of. I think it applies to Superman just the same, the best stories are those that show off his character, not his superpowers which are relatively boring in my opinion.

Anyone have a fodder set of caucasian male arms? Preferably not huge ones. Have a Netflix Punisher body left over from my Blade custom and was thinking about making a Punisher out of spare parts but I just lack arms. I got a fist amount of fodder parts if you need any in return.

So I just read a review on the new MADROX figure on another site.
From What I saw of the HASBRO panel, I was lead to believe that the 90's X-factor team would be made eventually. So is it possible the X-men BAF will be Strong Guy? I know its just opinion but isn't it likely its Guido? the paint job on his pants is great.. Quote:

Not only that but they had to do all these storylines without Marvel's top 2 villains. That's where they probably were the most irritated about, not just missing the X-Men and F4, but no Magneto or Doom. Or Kang for that matter.
I REALLY hope that the next phase the big bad will be Kang. I really enjoy every marvel move on some level, MCU collectively being the best there ever was, down to Howard the duck just to be able to feel stoned for an hour and a half and still pass a piss test. But the fox X men series lost me the second I realized Cyclopes was shorter than wolverine! Whoever gets cast for the MCU wolverine better be short and ugly! And Cyclopes better be over 5’10”. I’m hopeing they intigrate the X-Men and FF into the mix over the next decade and culminate it with an ultimatum type storyline with doom fighting magneto to wipe the slate clean for round three. But who knows, by then they might loose there appeal and be direct to dvd, Syfy movie of the week quality poo.... futures a fickle bitch kids. |

I'll get a shot in regular light soon as i'm home! I was initially going to swap the head because I like the old Mary so much... but after I had the hair off I just tried it out and it fit perfectly on the new Mary head (the little strand of hair had to be warmed and pressed down to not stick out funny just because the new Mary head is a little bit thicker than the old one.

Wasn't she bitching about her costumes being too revealing? How ironic.

No it's not. There is a difference between forced to wear something revealing for a role, something you have little to no choice in, and choosing to wear something revealing in your own time.

Not that i mind seeing hot beeeewbage but if ya gonna complain about a costume then go out wearing something that does what you were complaining about it kinda invalidates the gripe.
