Missing glider or not...I'm loving this guy. If only the tail had bendy wire or at least a bit more flexibility to it...it'd be my favorite non-BAF figure of the year thus far... |

Yeah, I've read comics for roughly 40 years and I'm quite aware of how Dazzler's powers work. Reread my comment and you will see that I said “similar” not the ‘same’. Their light based powers manifest as visual glamours and, yes, you can throw Boom Boom into the mix to buttress even further my point that they’re all a bit generic. I’ll also add that most super powers are ‘run of the mill’, but that realization doesn’t make my observation any less valid. You like Dazzler, I’m indifferent to her – the world still turns. Had you said that Blue Marvel’s abilities were cookie cutter to Superman-types, I would have read it and thought – yeah, they are – and not missed a beat.
Psychic powers are also pretty routine.... Yes...and the Whizzer. lol I thought I was a broken record...

Psychic powers are also pretty routine.... That is like saying the Thing and Rockslide are the same. They are both rock guys, right? Or Doctor Doom and Iron Man. Both are smart, rich guys in high tech armor. Or Falcon and the Angel. Both guys have wings or something, right? I could probably keep going, but I think everyone should get my point. |

Oh man! Are we getting into a good ol' Comic Book Box measuring contest??? whoooo-eeee... ('course, I went digital years ago so I might be out of the running now- but my Memory card is Massive!!!) Lol. ...And speaking of hunting the white whale- where the heck is BAF Ahab already? he got shafted during the MU phase and we're a good many years into ML and still no Master of the Hounds... He's been featured pretty prominently lately in the X-Books, so hopefully him (and maybe A Rachel hound... or Kid Cable) might be about to get their due... (it even sounds like they might be going back to the original idea and linking Ahab as some sort of alternate Cable like they hinted at waaaaaay back when.... before Excalibur threw Dumbass Rory Campbell into the mix...)

Nah, nothing like that, at least, not from my perspective. “40 years” of comic reading was a statement that I don’t really require an explanation of the powers of storied characters. Rather than viewing this as a dick measuring contest, I see it as someone who is relatively new to the thread just expressing his like for a character and getting a lay of the land here. Nothing crucial, but you’re free to categorize it however you want… |

You can clearly see I can't play poker...I believe I'm supposed to 'see' your bet, then 'raise'. But knowing that would also require knowing how to play...
Wait, you mean you didn't like Toy Biz' pre-Legends Ahab masterpiece??? What a shocker! |

I still have that one as well- and while a classic favorite- he needs an update. I built an MU one i was happy enough with... I guess I can probably find most of those parts in ML style now and just try and repeat it... If there isn't anything my SDCC I'll give it a go...

The only downside...it takes up quite a chunk of space, and doesn't disassemble easy like a customized dio might. It also doesn't run very deep on the different levels, so you might have to play around a bit with perspective in order to take some of your shots. It's been my biggest frustration with it thus far. Some things to consider. |

What I did with mine before shuttling it off to the garage was to pop the upper piece off and move it to the front- it's a very weird build what with it being a lower level and then a huge ledge and the second level. it worked good for pictures to look more like an actual building front. Too bad it can't be re-structured that way.

Dorkside mentioned on Fwooosh about orders for "something" on Saturday. Could be one day sales, could be preorders, could be...I don't know. sounds like something new or a special.
Please for the love of god let it be the Caliban wave. |

I stopped by DST to pick up my Mezco One:12 Black Panther earlier today and they also told me to keep an eye on the site over the weekend. They wouldn't say what I should be looking for but they did mention that Eddie was busy making new web pages so that they would be ready before NYTF starts this weekend.

Always! X-men are my jam! Even if Caliban wasn’t at all on my radar I’ll support pretty much any x-men product—though I’m definitely good with no more wolverines or Deadpool’s. Except Blob, Maggott and (gasp) Wolfsbane ave most students introduced in the last 10 years. I’d even buy a Mammomax.

I'd like a new Blob, but replacing the old version would make for a real challenge for Hasbro (IMO). Wolfsbane would be great and I think the fig is coming soon along with other X-Factor heads. My picks are a little weird, but possible - the Fury, Selene (we've talked about this shared want), Sebastian Shaw, Belasco, and original punk Yukio to go with punk Storm. I think that’d be pretty nift |

Yeah. Totally not a contest of any kind. I was just saying that I read all of them because I encounter a lot of my peers that think the X-Men were a cartoon from the 90's. I was not lumping anyone in here with that group.
I would also really love to see an Ahab and a new Blob. The old version is so gross and so expensive. |

Anyone have a pair of Iron Man repulsor effects they can part with? I wanna use them for the new Multiverse Batman Beyond's jet boots preferably the orange ones but I'd take any as long as they match!

If anyone doesn't like or own the Sandman BAF, Marvel.com just announced a 7" Marvel Select Sandman figure with swappable pieces. For sand hands, he'll have a fist, claw, and spiked mace. His legs can also be swapped with a tower of sand.
